There is no true soul mate. It is the emotional and mental decision of the individual who desires to stay with a certain partner, but that eventually wanes. Some have more than one. There was one I absolutely thought I would give up my life if necessary for her, the soul mate. When the chips were down, she didn't respond in like fashion. That hurt. And while I may still hold a candle flame for her for all I have experienced, it's just another chapter in my book now.

Maybe. I thought the guy I married was mine. Ran into an old friend and realized he is my soulmate. But now we are both with the wrong people. Life sucks-keep looking.

Yes I think so. We are constantly meeting people at different stages of our life. With the current technology, it is easy to reach anyone world wide.
I think it's like some 'fixed' mindset and perceptions that we can probably only have ONE.
Personally I have TWO.
