My period is 16 days late. I went off the patch in mid october. Always had a normal, on time period. I took a HPT test on Sunday but it came out negative. I have the pregnancy symptoms but now they also could be period symptoms. If I dont get it by the end of the week I would like to go to the doc to get test. Do you think that is to soon? SHould I wait to see if I miss a 2nd period. Can I have a false negaitve? Can it be to early to tell? I heard the dr takes blood to see, does it take long for the results?

Anybody took a HPT and was negative then went to the Dr & found it they were pregnant?

Blood test are accurate, most gyno's use the sick. but at the same time when you are on the patch or any birth control it can and sometimes change your flow and the days of your cycle. I would wait for a least one more week, and then go get checked out. Good Luck and Best of Wishes to you.

After reading your case I find it quite unacceptable.The Test result may be wrong.Get a pregnancy test done again in another centre.
If the second report also shows the same result, I advise you to have plenty of sex (every night, if possible) during or outside the ovulation period.I am sure , you will get pregnant within a period of 90 days(max)

16 days, thats along time. You //MAY// just be stressing but, 16 days is a long time to still not have you're peiord. That is definitly not to soon. I would make an appointment for you doctor to get a BLOOD test done. And yes, it is possible to have a false negetive.

well my sister had got a neg thro all the home test.. she had to go to the doc and she just thought she was sick she had tell them wat she did and take a home prego test and all of them were neg.. well they took her blood.. and she got a big fat postive...soo get a blood test good/
