I've been thinking lately, if I haven't spent all that money on expensive assessories and gadgets; not only would I be richer (from saving), I'd probably have invested the money more towards educating myself (learing how to cook, fix cars, etc). I'd not only be richer, I'd be smarter. Hmmm.

My professor said that Plato's belief on the soul is: "It is eternal". I have been researching wheather it's true or not. The belief originated from the Egyptians. Socrates, his teacher believed that the soul is IMMORTAL. Why do some people say that in Plato's perspective that the soul is ETERNAL? What is the correct and philosophically valid information on this?

Carter was a "nucular" engineer who graduated from Annapolis.

That was his JOB and EXPERTISE.

Why does it say about him when he could not pronounce it correctly even though --- unlike Bush --- it was Carter's field?

I am college student studying accounting schedule to graduate June 2008 (2 quarters left). Now I just took a P/T job with H&R block do taxes only until April 15th. Now will this look good on my resume for CPA firms? I want to become a CPA and so far i have NO job experience in accounting. In order to become a CPA you need to pass the hard exam and have 2 yrs job experience. Will someone hire me for this? I took a siginificant pay cut (and no benefits) to work for HR Block and now Im nervous whether someone will hire me upon graduation. (I applied at a few local CPA firms for internships and none of them hired me, not even a 2nd interview). Any thoughts?

If a job requires you to be bonded, (fidelity bond) can you be bonded for a dismissed shoplifting charge from 20 years ago that was erased? Would the bonding company and/or employer find out about the erased charge? Also, if a question asks if you have ever been arrested can you answer no, if it was erased?

Sure there's the "why are you still single"s and the "eat some more of my terrible casserole"s. There's even the occassional flareups of sibling rivalry. But I maintain the worst thing is the pullout sofa. Seriously. Those suck. A close second: the inflatable bed.

There is this saying, it's something like "Lack of evidence, is not evidence of nothing there." Something in the same genre. It's not those exact words, but its what it means.. WHAT IS THAT SAYING???? Easy 10 point.. hey?

to the child for the first years of the childs life, but isnt as financially stable as the soldier is.

Basically my sisters husband is saying because he has a job, and housing and my sister (after he kicks her out of the house)
doesnt have a job, or a car of her own wont be seen as fit parent.

Is this true?
Shes the mother who left job to stay home with their child while he was deployed.

Can an active duty soldier even get primary custody of a child, if their mother is not a bad mother?
