I've been thinking lately, if I haven't spent all that money on expensive assessories and gadgets; not only would I be richer (from saving), I'd probably have invested the money more towards educating myself (learing how to cook, fix cars, etc). I'd not only be richer, I'd be smarter. Hmmm.

We do have control of our lives. However I would not be so quick to regret spending all that money. There will always be a trade off between spending and enjoying now or saving money.

If you are in control of yourself you will not go for material goods. Desire drives you to wander and go after materialistic life. One has to control their desires in pursuit of higher life.
