people always think it would be cute to let there kids grow up with a puppy. What do you feel the biggest mistakes are that people make when deciding to add a puppy to the family? or even a child to the home that already has pets...

a little story from when I was a kid... my neighbors loved little Yorkies. I remember they had 2 totally cute ones... one day they ony had 1..and a week or 2 later they did not have either instead they had a puppy...soon the puppy was gone and replaced with a larger breed pup.. come to find out...their little boy found it fun to take their dogs and put them in the pool...he wanted to see them swim under water...needless to say they would drown... so why get more..why have any? what to do to prevent this and other things from happening...

We adopted a cat about a months ago that was rescued from a drain pipe on a very busy road. The cat recently got a round patch of hair missing from him and my first thought was ringworm. We took him to the vet and the vet wasn't sure so he did a culture on him to see if it is ringworm and we are waiting the results. The reason iam asking if they have to have a lesion is because my 2 other cats show no signs of ringworm and this vet is insisting he must have gotten this from one of my other cats along with ear mites! Neither of my other cats or dogs have earmites either. Iam just not understanding how supposedly this cat got all these problems from my other animals meanwhile my other animals do not have these problems.

Wow, today I went with a large Starbuck's iced coffee (it 82/28 F/C degrees right now) and I feel like streaking across town.......probably not a good idea.

I hate to bring up a very bad time in our lives, but during the lock-out we had to deal with it in our own ways. I became obsessed with that Deadliest Catch show, "tried" to get into football (by gambling), went to amateur league hockey games, and spent much time reading about hockey/stats/players.

What did you do during the lock-out to keep yourself occupied?

Keep in mind: I need a good laugh.

With warlords all over the world massacring people who don't agree with them, why did the US parade into Iraq and pretend that the purpose was to give "freedom" to Iraqis? Is anyone still pretending that this had anything to do with morality and if so why are they still so incredibly ignorant?

i am 20 weeks pregnant.i am having problem with keeping food down since last few days.i feel like taking it out.after eating i feel like the food is not going in properly,feels like vomiting feeling.also had headache for last 2 days.i have acidity(pitta) problem,so i took zantac 75mg y'day as per doctors said. should i take zantac for few more days or should i stop it.i have taken only 1 zantac of 75 mg since y'day.what should i do today.is my situation normal.my weight was 155 till the day before yday & y'day night when i checked it was 151.is it normal?

I ordered wholesale parts from partstrain on the net because shops want a fortune for them to do a brake job for this car. I'm a mechanical type of guy with tools and such. Can someone who REALLY knows brakes, ABS, please describe the steps I have to go through to get the old discs and pads off and the new ones on? Do I have to buy a parts manual for this car to do this job? A mechanic told me not to try it? of course...something about "dual piston calipers" and having to bleed them after I have the new discs & pads on and ...whatever. I would really appreciate the input and I hope I can get this done because..I can save a fortune. thank you

So we've been talking for a couple days. I'm having second thoughts about him. If I don't text him back, he seriously gets pissed off, saying things like, "If you're not gonna talk to me, speak up, I don't wanna waste my time." How many of you are aware that you can get tax write offs for energy efficient furnaces?
I am just wondering because it doesn't seem like many people know about this sort of thing.
My college instructor said that he installed a 95% energy efficient furnace last year that cost him $1800 up front. After he bought it he filled in a form and got a rebate for $500 which brings the price down to $1300. On top of this, he saves about $500 dollars a year on his heating bill.
After 3 years of owning this furnace it will have paid for itself!

I am a type one diabetic and am trying to lose weight. I am on the pump. Ive been told a diet low in carbs is the way to go. I dont eat bread, sweets or anything. At the most, my carbs are from maybe a bowl of popcorn or fruits. My question is, will i still lose weight if i eat an apple or do i have to give up carbs completely? I also exercise everyday, so there shouldnt be any reason why i shouldnt lose weight right?
