A new analysis by WorldPublicOpinion.org of 11 recent international polls conducted around the world shows widespread and growing concern about climate change. Large majorities believe that human activity causes climate change and favor policies designed to reduce emissions.

In most countries, majorities see an urgent need for significant action. For example, a recent poll for the BBC by GlobeScan and the Program for International Policy Attitudes (PIPA) found that majorities in 15 out of 21 countries felt that it was necessary to take “major steps, starting very soon” to address climate change. In the other six countries polled, opinion was divided over whether “major” or “modest steps” were needed. Only small minorities thought no steps were necessary.

I think Alice is getting me a dvd of either Aristocats, Elf or High School Musical :( Most likely Aristocats, then Elf, then HSM =[ It might not even be a dvd but I think it is because Alice and Bryony are colloborating and a dvd is quite expensive for a usual birthday present on your own. 1. have, on average, higher IQs than believers of a Divine Being.

2A. have no chance of being elected to a high political office unless they lie about their lack of belief;

2B. if your answer to "2A" is "Yes," do you think its fair to vote against an atheist or agnostic because of his/her lack of belief, and why;

3. are, in general, just as ethical and moral as believers.


I'm curious how people answer the above. Try putting aside what your particular beliefs are.

For some reason this year I have been sick all the time. I no more than get over one- and i get something else. My son is 6 months old and we're hoping to introduce him to a sippy cup soon. Just curious as to when you introduced one to your baby? What brands did you find the best? What sort of drinks did you put in it? Any tips for this first time mom?
We've used regular cups for him but he makes a mess and our pediatrician said we could try giving him one at 7 months.

OK heres the question, Mary bought a blouse and a pair of jeans for a total of $38.50. The jeans cost $12.50 more than the blouse.

A.Write and equation to find out how much Mary paid for the jeans and the blouse.




B. Use your equation to solve for the variable. show all your work.


C. Substitute the value of your variable into your equation to show how much Mary paid for both the blouse and the jeans. Show or explain all your work.

Merry Christmas? I am a card carrying member of the ACLU and a pagan I could give a flying flip if someone says Merry Christmas. I live in the Bible Belt and have returned Merry Christmas with Happy Yule and not a single one has "corrected me" or been ugly. I am not Christians biggest fan, but this is getting silly. Say whatever you want. Spread the cheer and goodwill and quit bickering over the stupid details. Why on earth is everyone freaking out about it?
