On your computer.

And ever other computer that is currently accessing it. There is no one central location or computer that is the Internet. It was deliberately designed by the government/military as a loose collection of thousands of computer so that it would be impossible for anyone to take down the whole Internet by taking out one location or server.

Each individual web site has a specific location - the location of the computer that is hosting the page. Then can be anywhere in the world. But there is no one location for the Internet.

Are you serious?
If you are, here we go:----
Internet is something like your highways, states, cities, streets and your homes.
Every one who can monkey with html can have a website and can host it on zillions of hosting providers. Any one who can install webserver on his computer can become a hosting provider.
If you are both, there -- you are the internet.
Only hitch is with the domain names. ICAAN has a 'monopoly' over names, domain extensions, DNS name servers etc. (well, not completely).
You can register yourname.com and pay for it. You can have your own www.yourname.com and keep all your private info, school grades etc. if you want.
To access the internet, you need your ISP. That is the guy that makes money in the whole chain.
