that's a complicated question...
Garnishment is based on a percentage of money earned...
in other words they have to leave you with enough to make your normal living expenses...rent utilities food...if say your bills work out to a 1,000 per month and you make 500 a week then regardless they can and will garnish the extra thousand....if they try and take more than that you have every right to go to court and ask for an adjustment...

If the attorney general is garnishing wages for child support, the payments have to be made through them. If not, you will not get credit for paying and therefore they can still garnish your wages. A law was passed recently and if you are behind on child support in the US you can not get a passport or travel out of the country.

Not sure exactly what you mean. If you are paying child support, they would have no reason to garnish your wages (as long as you are making the required amount in payments). If you are asking if someone else you owe money to can also garnish your wages, yes they can.

If I understand your ??? you are saying that you already ARE paying child support but may have a seperate garnishment out against you, and yes even with child support they can garnish you. They are required by law to leave you a certain percentage of your net earnings and this % varies state to state. your HR should be able to tell you how much they will be allowed to take from you if any.

In California you can. It is difficult to stop the garnishment even the man proves, via DNA test, that he is not the father.
My former spouse put my name on her sons' birth certificate. He will by 14 now, and probably still has my last name, even though she gave him up for adoption.
The state was going to garnish my pay even though I had a vasectomy, and had slit from the mom long before he was made.

Garnished for child support, or for overdue bills?
There's no immunity from garnishment just because you're paying child support to someone.

I actual do no longer think of she's entitled to lower back baby help, it replaced into no longer filed those early 4 years, he replaced into no longer obligated via any courtroom those years to pay. How regularly did he have visitations? holiday trips and holiday rights? If he did no longer have those rights, i do no longer understand why she feels she is entitled to any funds from those years. the 1st element maximum judges on those exhibits you stated say to mom's is, pass to courtroom and report for help so which you would be able to start up getting funds. no longer so they are able to get lower back pay. one extra element, while i replaced into in that subject, they did no longer contain my pay. I strongly recommend having a unfastened consultation with a felony expert nevertheless.
