saw south park episode and they totally bagged on mormons..so i thought it was a fake so i went and did research and they do belive this man had gold plates that nobody else could see or read etc..how does this religion stay stroang when it seems so odd and not accurate.

My daughter is 6 1/2 and gets speech services through the school district. She has a frontal and lateral lisp and her IEP is written for t, s, l, r, digraphs, and blends. (In sum, she speaks like Sylvester and Tweety all rolled into one.) Two questions for which I'd like professional advice:

1. Her t, s, and digraphs improved drastically after ear surgery. But her speech teacher will not even start working on the lateral lisp until she turns 8. So progress has leveled off at this point. What can I do at home to keep up the momentum?

2. Her spelling is terrible!!! Our school uses "kid spelling;" children are taught to sound out words then an adult puts the correct spelling above it. So she writes the way she speaks. How can I help her, particularly with l and r which the school will not address for another year and a half?

There was an expectant father who had spent quite some time waiting for the offspring to arrive - at his in-laws' place.

As his leave balance had gone into the red, he tells his father-in-law, "When my son comes, do not call up my office and say that I have become a father of a boy because I'll have to shell out a lot for parties. Just leave me a message that the clock has arrived. This will be our code for the arrival of the baby."

The offspring does finally arrive one day, but it's a daughter. The father-in-law now thinks to himself, "If I tell him that the clock has not arrived, he'll misunderstand and think that something has happened to the baby and come rushing over."

So the father-in-law left the following message: "The clock has arrived, but the pendulum is missing."

I learn French at school, and I'm pretty much fluent in Shona.
I want like, a new challenge, but I don't know which language I should learn. I don't want anything too obvious, like Spanish etc, and I don't want to have to buy those wee keyboard stickers.

I have changed the values of one item in my Filemaker database.

It was a series of tick boxes in a field called "Awards'. I changed the names of the tick boxes, and now I cannot find the export document whenever I try to export the data.

It always used to go to my desktop, but now I have amended the tick boxes in the 'Awards' field, the export document doesn't show up anymore. What can I do to fix this?

My son was suspended for one day (tomorrow) from school. I will be working from home. Any ideas on how he should spend the day? I can't see letting him sit in front of the TV while I try to work. I want this to be a punishment, not another day off. However, he is hyper and needs something to occupy his time. Suggestions?

If for example an income statement for a company says that all number are expressed in thousands than that would mean if it just had the number 1 for total assets then the total assets is 1,000. Is that correct? So if it said it had total assets fo 62,348 I would add 3 zeros to it to get the actual amount, right?

I purchased my little girls Xmas presents on Ebay and paid like normal through paypal and without looking at the joint account with my husbands balance in the account. I clicked pay and it didn't give me a message saying that it was denied or no funds etc etc. It said completed and I thought there was money in there and didn't even think twice about it because it said completed. How can it be complete if there were no funds??? SO NOW I have a Negative Balance of over 300.00 HELLO....WTF how does this happen? I mean why would they say completed and now I am negative and turns out that my husband had stopped his direct deposit from going into that account and into our other one....nice huh...so I am pissed at him and Paypal....what do I do now? Do I send the items back to the sellers? Am I going to be in trouble? DO I pay paypal and if I do, how do I know it will be fixed with all the problems they have with ppl. ARGH nice right b4 Xmas right

Do you substitute IRL racing with other leagues (or other sports) still in season, or do you fall back on recorded events (CD's, DVD's, TIVO?)

Personally, I have about 15 DVD's from the Indy 500 series that I watch over & over. Then; there's the miles of VHS tapings of past seasons to keep my spirit alive. Skiing used to be a viable alternative, but my health has circumvented that favorite.

The IRL (and other related) websites also consume a lot of my time ;0)

How do YOU get through the cold weather without the IRL?

ok so me and my boyfriend split up with each other nearly 2months ago.
we were together for 3 and a half years.
i finished it with him because he cheated on me but then i wanted him bk but he said no.
2 weeks after we split he was sort off seeing another girl, she had just come out of a long relationship aswell, he says he really really likes her and she aint like any other girl hes met.
they have decided to take things slowly.
im apsolutley heartbroken and its hurting me so much.
he coming round to mine at some point this week to watch a dvd together as mates but do u think i should try it on with him?
i need to get him back before he gets with this other girl!

is he on a rebound and if so should i tell him this.
i want him bk soooo badly - need lots of advice!
