you are never fully out of a danger zone so to speak. your rate for miscarriage rapidly drops once you hit your 2nd trimester.
things to worry about:
bleeding
preterm labor
fluid retention
high blood pressure
swollen ankles
your dr will tell you everything you need to watch out for. and remember that they are there for any questions you may have

At 12 weeks, your risk of miscarriage lowers significantly but there is still some risk. At 20 weeks, they consider it preterm labor and premature birth (or stillbirth if the baby is dead at birth). I read an answer from someone that chances of survival from 20-29 weeks is zero? THAT IS NOT TRUE!!!!! Don't listen. Chances of a baby's survival at 20 weeks are very, very, very low but there is still a tiny chance. They say that 24 weeks is the earliest you can hope for a good chance of survival and 28 weeks your chances are even better. The truth is, the longer the baby is in, the better your chances of a healthy baby. Good luck and try not to worry too much about your baby. Worrying isn't really good for him or her either.

Your chance of miscarriage does go down substantially after 12 or 13 weeks, but there is always a small risk that something can go wrong. Just try not to stress, though--almost all pregnancies after this point result in a healthy baby. And stress isn't good for you or the baby.
Good luck!

Most m/c happen in the 1st trimester but you are never really out of the woods until you have your baby. Anything can happen at anytime but the chance of having a m/c decreases greatly once you hit the 2nd trimester.

Your chances of having a miscarriage go down by a lot but it could still happen. You just need to worry about keeping the little one healthy.

Your never really out of the danger zone. There was just a lady on larry king not to long ago that had her baby still born. It died 20 minutes before she gave birth. (Not to upset anyone.) But really your never out of it many things can happen It's so sad. you just pray and hope everything goes good.

for me atleast 2nd trimester was the best , by 3rd trimester i was miserable not having enough space for food and thats when i craved teh most, yes after your first trimester te chances of misscarrying goes down a lot but you still have to be very careful till you get that baby out. Pregnant women tend to be very careless too

Your chances go WAY down after 12 weeks that's why many couples wait until then to announce they are expecting.
