I know I sound like a bit of a Christmas scrouge, but I would like to avoid exchanging gifts with everyone but my mother, grandma and fiance. These are the only people in my life that really matter to me, and I don't want to spend lots of money on gifts. I also HATE shopping. I'm doing okay finacially, but I feel that it is silly to recieve gifts from friends and extended relatives that don't know me well enough to pick out something other than a gift card. It seems even more silly when I feel obligated to return the favor with another gift card. Essentially, we both just write each other a $50 check, when I exchange gifts with some friends and family memebers. How is throwing money at each other in Chirstmas spirit? How can I hint at not wanting to exchange gifts this season?

I am a newbie and I am still trying to figure out how to put my friends' Moms-bracelets together. I thought it would be simple for my friends to have magnetic clasps and that way they would be easier to get on than a lobster clasp. I have another friend who advised against it saying that they are not very secure and knows someone who lost a bracelet because it came apart ( the magnetic clasp) Your thoughts?

I am at work and my window is level with the top of a palm tree right outside my window. There is this large bird - either a crow or a raven (can't tell the difference) I think - and he is hovering/trying to land on the section of the tree below the fronds (where it looks like the base of many fronds that aren't growing). I finally noticed that he is picking into the tree and eating something in there. What is in there? Bugs? Worms? It can't be small birds because I would see it hanging out of his mouth.

A young dating couple were driving down the road in a very busy area, when things started to get somewhat passionate. So they decided to pull over and park and have some fun. Things were really getting hot, and they were not paying any attention to what was going on outside.

All of a sudden a policeman was tapping on their window. The cop could hardly contain himself. "Didn't you know that you are not suppose to be having sex in public?" he asked the couple.

Being embarrassed at being caught, they said yes and apologized. "Well," the cop said, "I will have to write you a ticket." So the cop wrote the ticket and reminded them next time to watch their behavior.

After getting dressed, the girlfriend asked her boyfriend what the policeman wrote the ticket for. Her boyfriend replied, "Doing 69 in a 35 zone."

Every day boatloads of people set sail from Africa trying to escape from the misery that they live in, looking for a better life.
How bad must your life be to risk crossing the sea in small rowing boats at the risk of death (many do not arrive, they arrive in their hundreds and die in their dozens)

This is a weekly scene on the shores of the Canary Islands and Southern Spain.

How unfairt is the world we are in te middle of a consumer frenzy and this is happening every day in Europe.

How do you find the interior angle of a polygon? Using Triangles?

I mean like if there are five sides and you know 4 of the angles and u need to find out what the last one is?

or is this right?
(n-2) x 180
say this is an example:
angles i know are:
100(degrees)
123
94
78

i need to find out the last one (n)

so i did
(5-2)x180
=540

then i added up all the angles i know: equaling 395

took 395 away from 540 and got 145

so n=145

My pediatrician told me to give my 8 week old apple prune juice undiluted, in between feeding, but my son then does not want to take his bottle of formula! Can I put the juice in the formula? Has anyone done this? How much and does it affect the nutrition of the formula? I asked my ped, if I could put it in the bottle and he said no, becuase it may make it taste bad, but what is the difference when some people add Karo syrup to bottles! Help!
