Yes, it's called white almond bark. Break up the candy canes and stir it into the melted almond bark. Spread on waxed paper and cool. Good Luck!!

Put the candy canes in a food processor to grind them up. if you don't have one, put the canes in a baggie, put it between a folded towel and hit with a rolling pin, a small hammer or tenderizing hammer. Put a cutting board or something underneath the towel that you don't mind dinging up a little to protect your counter or table.

Use about 4 or 5 medium sized candy canes for a pound of chocolate.

Melt the white chocolate in a double boiler.

Now for the executive decision:

1. mix all the candy cane pieces in with the white chocolate and then pour into a wax paper lined cookie sheet or,

2. strain the candy pieces, put the small bits into the white chocolate, pour into the wax lined cookie sheet and then put the big chunks on top or,

3. pour the white chocolate into the wax lined cookie sheet an sprinkle everything on top

You can also add some M&M's or other chocolate or crushed oreos or anything you think would taste good.

Let it cool until hard.

Break into pieces then eat.

Peppermint Bark
Crushed candy canes, to yield 1 cup
2 pounds white chocolate
Peppermint flavorings, optional

Place candy canes in a plastic bag and hammer into 1/4-inch chunks or smaller. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Combine candy cane chunks with chocolate (add peppermint flavoring at this point if desired.) Pour mixture onto a cookie sheet layered with parchment or waxed paper and place in the refrigerator for 45 minutes or until firm. Remove from cookie sheet and break into pieces (like peanut brittle.)

ENJOY!!!

That's basically what you do. But timing is everything.

Melt the white chocolate, then pour it into a large, flat pan. Put that in the freezer. Check on it every 5 minutes. When it starts to harden, but is still somewhat soft, take it out and put the broken pieces of the candy cane in it sporatically. The purpose of this is to make sure the hot white chocolate doesn't melt the candy cane. once the candy pieces are in, then you put it in the freezer until it hardens. Good Luck!

I'm wondering if you are wanting to make Peppermint Bark? This is a fairly simple candy that will require semisweet or bittersweet chocolate as your base and topped with a layer of white chocolate with crumbled candied canes on top. Melt your chocolate in a double boiler and spread in prepared pan. Melt your white chocolate and pour over the top when dark chocolate has cooled. Sprinkle with candie cane pieces.

I hadn't heard of anything like that before. So I googeled it and this is a recipe that I found.

One 1 lb. bag (16 oz) chocolate chips
One 1 lb. bag (16 oz) white chocolate chips
2 candy canes or about 20 starlite candies
wax paper

Unwrap and crush the candy canes or starlite mints into very small and set aside; place the bag of chocolate chips in one microwavable bowl, and the white whips in another separate one, and microwave each for about 2.5-3 minutes, stopping and stirring every 30 seconds, until melted.

Immediately after melting and removing from microwave, add half of the crushed candies to each of the bowls of melted chips.

Spoon melted mixture onto wax paper, dropping spoonfuls of white and chocolate next to each other and then swirling to create a marbled effect. When all done dropping and swirling, place in fridge or freezer to harden.

In fridge give it a couple hours or one hour in the freezer but watch it so it doesn't harden.

Break into pieces.

Alternate ideas: you could use toffee candies instead of peppermint, or chocolate-mint flavored chips - the possibilities of combinations are many!

I hope this is what you're looking for!

This holiday candy is scrumptious and probably the easiest candy recipe to make during the holiday season.. It makes a beautiful and thoughtful gift when packed in a pretty Holiday tin. Enjoy! And Happy Holidays!

PEPPERMINT CANDY

3 ounces OR 15 to 20 small red and white peppermint candy canes
1 (12-ounce) bag white chocolate chips
3 ounces semi-sweet chocolate (melted)

Put candy into a food processor and process until it has minced down to a powder with small crumbs of candy (nothing bigger than the size of a split pea). You can also put candy in a heavy Ziplock bag and use a hammer to crush. Melt white chocolate chips in microave or in top of double boiler, stirring often until smooth. Stir crushed candy into melted chocolate and spread out thinly on foil-lined cookie sheet. Refrigerate until hardened. Decorate the top with thin drizzling of dark chocolate. Refrigerate until hardened. Break into pieces.

Yield: 1 Pound

Take a shallow dish and line with wax paper. Melt chocolate, pour in the bottom of the dish. Add crushed peppermint, let chocolate harden, then flip dish over and break into bite sized pieces. You can use candy molds too if you want, but I like the random pieces of just breaking the bark up.
