We decided Wednesdays and Saturdays are daddy days. However, my son's father doesnt drive, so I always do all the driving. The ex lives about 35 miles from my home, and I work not quite halfway between my place and his. . . about 12 miles from my house. My grandma lives about 2 miles from work.

Last night some coworkers and I went out for Happy hour, and I dropped my son off at my grandma's. After I pick up my son, I realize I had to go home and sleep on the couch because my mattress was outside drying out all day and I cannot lift a Cal King mattress alone. So I asked two male friends (very old friends whom I've known considerably longer than my son's father) who live right next to my grandma's if they wouldnt mind helping me out. They also dont drive, so I said I would take them to my place then drive them back.

So my ex gets PO'd that I would drive to have them handle my mattress situation, but not to go and pick him up so he could do it (alone?) and also get to see our son.

Could be a town/someone's house/other country/pub anything at all. I once went camping and stopped at this tiny, quaint village in the Lake District. Went into a pub and everyone - staff, customers - seemed to be American except us two. Very disconcerting. (Don't criticise for posting in wrong list - none seemed right.)

Assume you are a mother and money is not that much of an issue. Would you rather have a full-time career that you really like or a really boring but well-paying part-time job (like 4 hours a day) that allowed you more enery and flexibility for being a parent?

My husband is 52 and is spending a lot of time w/ a young woman from work (28 single and pretty). I found some pictures of them posing very affectionately on several outings including a harbor cruise, sightseeing on a supposed work related trip (seperate from colleagues) and an overnight trip to see a ballgame out of town. (3 hour drive each way with limo and driver) He has the money but does anyone think that he would book 3 rooms (his, hers, drivers) to go to a baseball game? I have learned that they also have dinner together frequently. I also learned that he spent $500 on a long cashmere coat for her, and sent her roses on Valentines day. We have 3 young children and I am wife #3. I am getting prepared to confront him and wanted to see what opinions others may have.

A woman I work with sent all of her employees the following email [see below].
What in tarnation does it MEAN ....?
Can someone PLEASE interpret this ....?
Thanks, all! :)

"I hope this word touches your heart and soul and know that I am not everything that God has called me to be; but I am thankful I am not what I use to be and that I am fit for the future of success, favor, health and prosperity.

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear) but He has given us a spirit of power and love and of calm and well balanced mind and discipline and self control@ 2 Timothy 1:7

Paul talks about these secrets in 1 Corinthians 2:7. He calls them "hidden wisdom": "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory." It's always an exciting and glorious thing to discover God's wisdom. Because when you encounter His wisdom you run right smack into his goodness.

I just looked out the office window and saw some guy come flying around the corner and after doing a few 360's, stuffed his SUV in the snowbank going the other direction! He looks mystified.

Forgive me, but I always enjoy seeing giant expensive 4wd's in the ditch! (As long as nobody gets hurt of course.) Am I just a sicko or do you love the road show too?

P.S. My buddy pulled him out so it was a cheap lesson and his wife will never know.

For 2 months didn't get period. Doctor prescribed Provera and I've had heavy blood clots, cramping, weakness and fatigue 3 days in bed before my period, and 3 days with the period. Now, my period is finished and it feels like something is grinding against my ovaries and I have pelvic pain.
NOTE: I've had 2 surgeries for polyp removal in the past.
I also want to get a hysterectomy at 40 (in one year) as this debilitating periods have happened to me in the past and I can't handle it and can't work, and suffer mentally and emotionally.

I mean, if you think about it, Christians, Jews, and Muslims aruge and fight over stuff that happened thousands of years ago. Why not just forgive - TRULY forgive - and move on? What's happened cannot be undone, and we are not responsible now for what Abraham did or didn't do, any more than we are for Mohammad, Jesus, or anyone else. If we can never move beyond that stuff, aren't we pretty much all doomed to live in a world of fear forever?

She is upset to tears if she hears about or sees someone get hurt. She wants to give her things to the poor kids (we give our old stuff to Desert Industries) and her money as well. If someone is feeling bad she is really moved to help, even if it's a kid who hasn't been kind to her previously. Is this normal? I know compassion is a positive trait, but at what point does it go too far? Is it because I take in and rehab abused animals? Or because I've had several serious illness in the past years? I hope nothing I'm doing is harming her psychologicaly.
