My mom is paying for our wedding and honeymoon and she wants to ride in the limo (that she's paying for), along with some other people of my family, with me and my new husband while we go to the airport (45 minutes away) to go to our honeymoon. What would your thoughts be if your mom told you that's what she wanted to do? Cause my thinking is we just got married (which is a symbolization of growing up, leaving the nest, being without your parents) we would want to be alone. But she is paying for it and I don't want to be rude but I don't think going to our honeymoon is a "family event". But she thinks it would be fun. I know "do what you want to do" and all that but what would YOU do if your mom wanted to ride along?

Unfortunately there are millions who have no coverage. I am a small business owner and I pay $1800 a month for my health care for my family. A health care company which can drop me and deny me coverage whenever the hell they feel like it. There have been months when business hasn't done so well that my wife and I almost had to drop our coverage to make our mortgage payment ... is that fair?

No one ever wants to talk about this when they are covered ... we are just a whining liberals ... Wrong ! I just want to be able to go to a doctor if I'm sick, and not worry about being made bankrupt by the bills ... you know like they do in Britain, France, Canada, Cuba, etc ...

Don't give me any of that socialist rhetoric scare tactics either please ...

A man promised to marry me,if I could come to him every month and sign PNA for marriage.I kept my promise. I did it for a year, went from full time to part time job and lost my benefits and went to see him every month.
After signing PNA he refused to marry me. I suffered $10,000,loss because of keeping the promise (his condition for marriage)+mental trauma. Can I file a case against him?

Why do so many blame God for problems when they haven't worked on the problem themselves? For example, how many people agonizing over world hunger have actually done something TANGIBLE to stop it? How many who blame God for children being molested have taken the time to form neighborhood watch groups or educated themselves on how to spot/recognize at-risk behaviors? How many who blame God for allowing any number of social ills have done ANYTHING besides perhaps donating money? How about giving of yourself??!! Is God at fault, or did the people who he placed on earth turn their backs on their fellow man?

We are traveling to Seattle during Christmas with my two boys who are 10 and 7. This will be their first time in a cold climate as we are south Floridians, so I am excited to show them a new terrain and let them experience the cold climate. I understand there is not much snow there and I will have to travel a bit to let them have a true white world experience. Any suggestions as to which way to head to see true snow and how long the drive is? Also, need some ideas for siteseeing in Seattle. Any fun activities for kids? How about the monorail and the space needle? Just looking for some ways to spend our week, any input would be greatly appreciated! The tourism sites are helpful, but I figured the locals would know the best! P.S. Is it true the first Starbucks is in Seattle?

"Doc," says Steve, "I want to be castrated."

"What on earth for?" asks the doctor in amazement.

"It's something I've been thinking about for a long time and I want to have it done" replies Steve.

"But have you thought it through properly?" asks the doctor, "It's a very serious operation and once it's done, there's no going back. It will change your life forever!"

"I'm aware of that and you're not going to change my mind -- either you book me in to be castrated or I'll simply go to another doctor."

"Well, OK.", says the doctor, "But it's against my better judgment!"

So Steve has his operation, and the next day he is up and walking very slowly, legs apart, down the hospital corridor with his drip stand. Heading towards him is another patient, who is walking exactly the same way.

"Hi there," says Steve,"It looks as if you've just had the same operation as me."

"Well," said the patient, "I finally decided after 37 years of life that I would like to be circumcised."

Steve stared at him in horror and screamed, "****! THAT'S the word!”

The other day my boyfriend (who's an army recruiter) told me about a training conference he had to go to for a whole weekend and had to wear his dress uniform. Then the next day he says its a ball but its mostly training and he is dreading having to go. It sounded as if he was trying to hide that it was a ball and I got upset and questioned him on it. He explained and said he wouldnt go if he didnt have to and I gave him the silent treatment and the doubting "uh hum" like I didnt believe him. The next day he sent me text first thing in the morning and asked me if I trusted him and said he cant stand to be checked up on and if i felt that way i shouldnt pursue this relationship and that his exwife did that to him and he wouldnt let it get out of control like that again and he will not be put in check . Is what I did that bad? Isnt he going overboard with the defensiveness. I havent responded to any of the texts yet because I'm upset that he said that and want to calm down first.
