I saw one of thoes, it also had an ad for a protesant church. We catholics do not believe you must be catholic to go to heaven

While some Fundamentalist protestant (FP)groups put up billboards( a dissident 7th day Adventistgroup in FL is just one example) damning the Pope and their damning all catholics is common fare, the teachings of the catholic Church praise the blessed elements of truth of the varied multitude of Protestantisms and that those churches are true channels of grace. The Catholic Church has been very active in ecumenism since Vatican II.
You cannot produce one text from this Pope damning Protestants or anybody else. You really need to read the Documents of Vatican II

The Pope does not say that Protestants will go to hell.
