I need something to put on my kids computer to stop spyware and virouses. Is there any good, free ones available?
They have avg but it is not catching things at all !!

A lot...AVG,AVAST,BitDefender free edition,and Mcafee free edition from AOL.

AVG when kept up-to-date will catch viruses but you will also need a spyware scanner to find and remove the spyware. Viruses and spyware are two different things.

A good free spyware scanner is Spybot Search & Destroy. Another free spyware scanner is Ad-aware.

You can use Avast antivirus home edition free,it give a licence key that is valid for 1y.dowload it frm www.download.com and i will also recommend u to use advanced window v2 care it will clear ur junk files,protect ur pc against spyware and adware.

Avira AntiVir PE Classic. It has the best detection rates of the free products and is very low on system resources.

AOL Active virus shield is the best freeware antivirus software. But you need to register. (For free).Then they would send you the activation code. Its free and best . But the activation code might take some time to arrive.
