Well they shouldn't. The Bible tells Christian men to love their wives the way Christ loved His church. By laying down His life for the church. That would mean to support her and the Bible says for women to respect their husbands. If a woman is supporting her husband I think it's a shame.

While it is true that the economy may be keeping a percentage of responsible men home; many young men today seem to have a lack of motivation. They just aren't interested in assuming the a role of responsibility in the home. They can enjoy the pleasures of an intimate relationship and avoid the rest. I am a moderate, I understand why the sexual revolution took place and I strongly feel the woman should have a say in her sexual behavior. But by allowing men an all access pass without paying the toll so to speak. They have been allowed to give up a fundamental part of what it used to mean to be a man. My grandmother would ask me a common question and I think there is more wisdom in it than we would like to hear, "Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?" Lately there is so much 'milk' to go around, cows are for sale everywhere.

Because of the 'new-age husband and wife' analogy that's been thrown about in news columns and health magazines, as such women have become more dominant and/or independant.

Which i'm quite happy about actually, it shows that society has progressed to a stage where the next social change to happen will be BIG.

P.S: caps-lock BIG, just to stress the point.

Mainly because so many men have failed in their God-given responsibility of taking care of their wives and children.
It's a vicious circle - a man is lazy, his wife/girlfriend allows it and he just gets worse. With a generation of women having been raised hearing Virginia Slims commercials, the girls are fooled into it hook, line and sinker.
Same thing happens with pre-marital sex. A man lacks commitment, his girlfriend allows it, and then about 4 years later he leaves for another and she can't understand why.
Men need to be men, and women need to demand it from us.
