"Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones."

The quote was from a Roman emperor, and is not aimed at Christianity or any religion in particular. It's a brilliant quote that does a good job of countering Pascal's Wager when applied to atheism, but let's take it a little farther.

Consider a God in Heaven who, in similar fashion to the Abrahamic God, has some totally arbitrary rules for us. His first and most important rule is that organized religion is the ultimate sin, because it leads to intolerance and needless conflict. Any act defying logic in the name of religion would put you in serious danger of eternal punishment.

Well, I know that it's not normal. But I don't know if it's a disorder or not. She jumps up and sometimes screams when I just tap her on the shoulder. She gets scared easily by any loud noise. She even cried once when I scared her from behind. She's 14 and I know that this is not normal.

That is, using too much information to solve problems, and getting into too many details while living life, rather than using ones intuition more. Losing ones spontaneity, because of too much checking of data.

A question similar to this has probably been asked before, but does anyone know any good blues (rock) guitarists similar to Stevie Ray Vaughan and Robby Krieger (L.A. Woman album)? I prefer stuff more in the 60's/70's range. Please don't mention Eric Clapton... However, anyone like B.B. King and Albert Kink is great too!

so i got rear ended yesterday. the guy bumped my car pretty good, but it didnt do anything to it. is it normal to be sore even if it didnt hit that hard? my back is sore, and i'm wondering if it's normal and im being praniod, or if i need to go get checked out. about 4 weeks ago i spent the night in the hospital for pre-term contractions and it started out as just plain back pain. should i wait another day to see if this is just stiffness from the wreck? my legs are also really tired...like i've been walking on them all day, but i havent. I have also been working nights and havent got much sleep during the day. could this be a factor? could all of this be normal? i have an appointment thursday.

The following info kills the global warming theoy.
"So, British wine-making thrived during the Medieval Warming, failed during the Little Ice Age (1300 to 1850), and began to make a comeback in the 1950s, after major world temperature surges between 1850–70 and 1920–40. The uncertain quality of today’s British wine grapes indicates that Britain still isn’t as warm now as during the Roman and Medieval Warmings. "
