Hi, i am in a wheelchair and i want to know. how could a person like me defend themselves without going to jail and while waiting on the police to get to me house? right now i am not having any troubles of any kind. but i want to know what i could do to protect myself legally without going to jail.. I ask my local mayor (oklahoma) and everything and her office reponse was. look up criminal law on GOOGLE. the police chief didn't even give me a strage answer either. I'm asking is because i want to be able to know how to protect myself long before trouble happens / if it happens....etc

The answer would depend upon what you want to protect yourself from.

It depends on a few factors:

1) State Law
2) Local Law
3) Where you are to defend yourself (on the street, inside your home, on your front lawn, etc.)

I live in California, and the laws are very different compared to Arizona, New Hampshire, or Nevada. I couldn't give you much advice without knowing where you live. Even then, I'd have to be familiar with the area.

You can use "reasonable force".

I'm sorry no-one can give you a clearer answer than that, but that's the law. What is "reasonable force" is totally dependent on the exact circumstances of what happens.

get a gun, and if you get attacked shoot to kill. It's called self defense.
