so i got rear ended yesterday. the guy bumped my car pretty good, but it didnt do anything to it. is it normal to be sore even if it didnt hit that hard? my back is sore, and i'm wondering if it's normal and im being praniod, or if i need to go get checked out. about 4 weeks ago i spent the night in the hospital for pre-term contractions and it started out as just plain back pain. should i wait another day to see if this is just stiffness from the wreck? my legs are also really tired...like i've been walking on them all day, but i havent. I have also been working nights and havent got much sleep during the day. could this be a factor? could all of this be normal? i have an appointment thursday.

While you and bubs are most likely fine (he/she is very well cushioned in there) it is always better to be safe than sorry. At the very least I would suggest giving your doc a call and just letting them know what happened. They will prob ask you about the baby's movements etc and are best prepared to tell you whether you need to go in earlier than your next scheduled appointment

I got into a wreck when I was 7 months pregnant also. We were also rear-ended. I made a doctors appt. the next day. My doctor checked me out, then he asked me alot of questions about the wreck. He checked my babies heart beat and asked if I've felt her move since the wreck. Everything turned out fine for me. But you should get checked out by your OBGYN so that they know you have been in a wreck and make sure everything is o.k.

I would call your doc and tell him/her what happened, I'm sure they will want you to come in for a checkup. I would go just to be on the safe side. Don't chance waiting for something to get worse or go away, you've already been in over night for preterm contractions, so the risk for something happening is high. Good luck to you and I hope everything is fine with you and your new baby!...

It's reflexive to brace with your feet when you are hit from the rear, that's what is probably causing the stiffness. Unless the pain gets worse you should be OK until the appointment.
