Why did the European Pope during the Middle Ages say autopsies meant hell for all Catholics who received them but now when Catholics die in Catholic hospitals, many are routinely autopsied?

What does that say about flip-flopping in the world of non-profit religions?

What do fabulous, independent, and over 40 women call the men they are in a committed relationship with? We discussed this at lunch and couldn't come up with a term we liked. "Boyfriend" sounds so high school, we're well past "booty call" and "boy toy", and "my man" is...well, it just doesn't work. Ironically, when a man this age calls a woman his girlfriend, it sounds fine. One of my friends has even started calling him her husband just to keep it simple (although she doesn't do it around him because then he'll start pestering her again to marry him). Any suggestions?

that i'm not able to cross the road ( of course not all roads, but those large ones )..........Does it annoy or irritate you in any way?? :D

Really............. because some of my friends just mock me or laugh at me coz of this, and they just keep saying that i'm still a child...........and i hold their hands tightly and firmly :D when we start to "commit suicide"...OH, i mean to cross !!!!!! ;-) :D

**So, How is your crossing ?? ;-)

I am on a mission, to make homemade wine. I made it many years ago with a bottle and a balloon, wasn't the tastiest thing I ever had, but certainly had the effect I was looking for.
Now I'm on a mission to create something far more delicious
My husband's doctor has told him he should drink two glasses of wine a day, so we intend to develop a couple of recipes.
Have you ever made homemad wine?
Do I need to purchase a kit?
Is regular yeast good or does it need to be a special type of yeast?
What about fermentation, is it better to use a glass jar, or something where the uv rays can't get through?
Any advise would be appreciated.
Any web sites that you know of that sell wine making kits and ingredients.
What would be your favorite flavor?

My question is why light must bend when it goes from one medium to another. Say if it goes from air to water. Water is optically denser than air, which means that water slows down light more than air does. So why doesn't the light just slow down in water, why does it have to bend in the process?

Hey You!

This road is long
The lanes are narrow
Destination, has a name
You may call it, what you want to
But it’s all, the very same

I’ve come here
An individual
Free to say, what I believe
Because I know, that silent living
Is a fearful, web to weave

So hear me now
Young sons and daughters
From the edge, I say to you
Better try, to find your voices
Or your dreams, will slip right through

Hello

Please I really tried to find a solution but I am not good at maths!!! Thank you for anyone who can help me. Here are the exercises:

Electricity cost 10.36p per unit day-time or 4.67 per unit night time but to qualify for the night time rate customers need to pay an extra £10.49 a quarter (13 weeks) for a special meter.

How many units (to the nearest whole unit) on average per week would a customer need to use at night time to break even on the extra cost?

If a customer made an overall saving of £20 over the quarter how many units (to the nearest one) would he have used at the night time rate?

If a customer used a total of 125 night-time units over a quarter would this result in a loss or a saving and by how much (to the nearest p) allowing for the extra charge for the meter?

Thanks

My question isn't "What should I do about my boyfriend?", it's more along the lines of "Why do guys stay on dating sites if they're not approaching anyone on there?"

My bf and I have a great relationship. We met on Match.com in June of 2006 and clicked instantly. The only weird issue is that he never deactivated his profile on Match. I get on there almost every day just to see if he's logged in recently, and it's generally "Active within 24 hours" or "Active within 3 days". I know he does not have a subscription, so he can't be contacting anyone, nor does he spend any time away from home without me, so the cheating isn't there...

I'm just curious... is this a fascination with guys just to see if something better does exist than the girl they're with? Or in a twisted way - could he just be confirming to himself that what he has is better than what is out there?

I know he shouldn't be on there to begin with, so no chastising... I just wanted some insight into the "why" of it all.
