the equation is 2z + 6x + 3y = 6

is there a quick way of finding this equation instead of finding an orthogonal vector and plugging it into the equation of a plane?

I believe in God, but I don't think He/She is personally involved in the day to day lives of us peons. There are some who He/She may take an interest in, but not all of us are on His/Her watchlist. I believe that there is evil and that we are supposed to oppose it at every turn, but without evil there is no balance. I believe there are certain behaviors that are inherently wrong- if it's bad for humanity then it's an evil, but I think most moralizing is just B.S. I believe that we are personally responsible for answering our own prayers and controlling our own impulses. I believe that there is "magic" in the world, but that term is only for that which we don't yet understand. I believe in the divinity of the earth and the divinity of man. So, what am I?

A few good men.

But some would argue that there function requires more discipline, and anyone who would be a marine has that certain ego quality that the marines feed into.

I say any soldier, be they cook, truck driver, NBC, Pac Clerk, seaman airman marine or army soldier equally deserve respect.

Each have a different function, an the chip on a marines soldier doesnt come from them truly being the best soldier, but just an ego and discipline that is created out of necessity for front line combat.

As far as the best soldiers, some would argue that one pilot who could destroy and entire batallion with the depression of a few buttons is a better soldier for his training and amount of damage he can dish out.

Some would argue tht the sniper who could take out a general from 1 1/2 miles away is a better soldier because his one shot one kill can inflict almost as much damage as a pilot.

Or the tank operator who takes out platoons at a time with his power.

Hey all!

I am a Christian and I was thinking about it the other day at work, smiling. I was thinking about how my mother who passed a long time ago said "When I am in heaven I am going to dance with my new legs!" This made me happy. My mother had MS and her legs could not function as well as she would have liked.

For someone that is suffering (she ultimately died of cancer) I totally understand her desire to live free of that pain.

However, I'm 25 and I am in good shape, I'm healthy and love life (even it's difficulties).

See, as a perfectly healthy human being, I desire life on earth, not up there.

From my understanding of heaven, we praise God the whole time, and everything is perfect. That does not sound like fun to me. Honestly. I will praise the Lord, but I would get sick of doing it all the time. And additionally, I am all about life's little difficulties. Opinions?

Honestly, How does heaven sound to you?

I use regular (87 octane) gas, but noticed that mid-grade (89 octane) is at least $0.20 more, and premium (93 octane) is usually only another $0.10 more. For example, regular $3.299, mid-grade $3.499, premium $3.599. If someone wanted 89 octane gas they would save about $0.10/gallon by mixing 2/3 regular and 1/3 premium.

(1) Is this some kind of legitimate supply and demand issue, or is there a conspiracy by the oil companies to jack up the prices unnecessarily on higher grades, especially mid-grade?

(2) Should higher oil prices cause the price differences between the various grades to increase as well? For example, if regular was $1.10 and premium was $1.20, if regular triples to $3.30, shouldn't premium still be $0.10 more at $3.40, not triple to $3.60? Legitimate or a conspiracy?

(3) I live in NY and in NJ gas prices are a lot lower, but the price differences fluctuate. Why would NJ gas cost $0.25 less some times, $0.40 less at other times? Conspiracy or price fixing?

I live in southern california and it rained today which brought out a ton of silverfish looking insects. However, they are not silverfish nor are they centipedes. These move slow and kind of have a curl to them...They are black and seem to have a little shell for a torso and also jump when contact with water. Not fleas either, these are much bigger about a 1/4-1/2 inch. Maybe a cross between a huge flea and silverfish...Thanks
