If YA is represenative of America, why is Hillary doing so well in the polls?

I thought that at least 50% of America thinks that Hillary is the smartest woman in the world. Maybe I spend too much time reading the NY Times?

YA is not representative of America. Most here (myself included) can get pretty rabid. Most of America is actually fairly moderate.
I am not at all surprised. When a candidate is doing as well as Hillary the knives will come out.
The fact that most of the negativity on YA misrepresents her as some extremist lefty, or attacks her relationship with Bill, or most stupidly relies on outlandish conspiracy theories of criminal acts and seedy connections just demonstrates that politically she is a force to be reckoned with.
If Obama were leading I have no doubt the right wing would be focussing on his non existant muslim extremism or some pitiful accusation of anti-white racism. Remember the best they could get on Edwards was he overpaid for his haircuts.
You will see plenty of baseless attacks on YA - they clearly do not represent the rest of the country.

I wonder that all the time. I believe that the amount of diversity of people on yahoo answers isn't as great as the diversity in our country, so I don't think that it represents America as much as you may think. And anyway, on yahoo answers, it is easier to say negative things than positive things about political candidates because... well, people are naturally negative. Can you imagine what would happen if someone asked something positive about her? It's just not as fun....

what about the negatives for gulaini?

I think its all pretty much even, but republicans seem more attacing because they have alottomake up for.

Their current candidates are less than worthy...
And their current president is so ruthless its pathetic and dillusional to think republicans even have a chance this next election.

Especially when you have guliani using tax payer money for his affairs...
or romney fliping back and forth and back again on his iisues.

Republicans need to attack to try getting more attention...thats their only hope to survive thislosing battle thy are already fighting going into 08 election

Because the polls that are shoved in our faces are run by the big media firms; ABC CBS CNN FOX NBC BBC etc. and quite simply, they lie to further their agendas which is quite simply mo' money.

She is not popular.

Am I surprised by the negative?....actually, NO. After what she and Bill put us through during his service to our country...I am not surprised at all...I expect it as much as welcome it, to say the least.

well she was associated with Bill when she first got in the race and a lot of peoples pockets were full of money during his administration - I think today many people realize she is not her husband and is running on her own merits which really doesnt add up too much when you do the math

She's obviously seen as a strong threat, or the hate and misinformation machine would not be working so hard in overdrive! Smile on thru!
