what if muslims called a toy jesus?well as a muslim i must say they never would cuz we respect all prophets as much.i would get angry at the person who did that wouldn't u?and by the way u donno what mohammad himself thinks about this, if the teacher deserves the punishment or not.i'm sure he thinks she does not,so plz stop it all of u.i think there has been enough about this on R&S.here r some sentences by mohammad i've fond in the book 'Nahjol fassahe' that seem relevant:[a preson who doesn't have compassion and kindness will not enter heaven.if any ruler or leader forgives when he's angry, god will forgive his sins in judjment day.if a person can use his anger but doesn't do so,god willmake him full of faith and calmness.be kind with others so that they be kind with u and forgive other peoples faults so that they forgive yours]

Before Jumping to any conclusion. Keep these points in mind.
1. unlike christians muslims do not consider pets(animals) same as children. In general they don't name their pets with muslim name, mostly they name their pets with christian names like, Tony, Tom etc.
2. From Islamic point of view animals are inferion being compare to human being.
3. Muslims have extremely high regard for all prophets and specifically Prophet Mohammed.
4. In bible all the great personalities are associated with worst kind of sins. King David PBUH committing adultery, King Solomon worshipping idols, Lot commiting incest with his daughters, Juda commiting incest with his daughter-in-Law. We muslim take strong exception is such defamation of characters and believe that these are fabrication to corrupt the image great personalities.
I personally do not consider it as an act of blasphemy, she probably did no know how muslims percieve this act. However, there is something called constitution in Sudan and she violated the constitution while being in Sudan. It was her responsibility to know about Islamic sentiment while being in Sudan. I think she is punished only for carelessness, otherwise punishment of blasphemy is death.

People in different regions and religions have different way of seeing and percieving the things, you have no right to believe that wicked western civilization, purely based on uncontrolled freedom and hedonism is ideal for mankind.

Are you suggesting that all the non-Muslims should do as Mohammad said and forgive this sin of these Muslims?
You should direct your energies toward the sinning Muslims in the first place. As you stated about whether Mohammad thinks the teacher deserves a punishment "...I'm sure he thinks she does not". So you are actually in agreement with all the people who are taking a swing at Islam on this forum by bashing their prophet. (I know you don't agree with their method, neither do I, but we both agree that punishing the teacher was the wrongdoing which occurred)
Sometimes I think that just as the Old Testament basically is there to show us that we need a Savior, perhaps many of the modern day happenings around the world are for that same purpose. As a Christian, I praise God in all things and know that all things work together for good for those who love Him. This singular event may cause a turning point for countless Muslims to accept Christ as God, and turn to Him for their salvation.

Why could we worry to hearken to what Allah says if it conflicts with what we want to do? it really is what all the different non secular communities do, after all. I propose, why could Muslims be diverse basically because they say they are? Hypocrisy is a similar in the course of the earth and Muslims are basically as in charge. So we ought to continuously save our conceitedness, proclaim ourselves above everybody else, and make up a collection of excuses and justifications so as that lets be better efficient hypocrites even than the different religions and that is how we will triumph. we are better efficient at being hypocrites than them, we are able to wish 5 circumstances an afternoon prostrate and wake at 3 contained in the morning even to reveal how non secular we are, with the aid of the undeniable fact that makes us a lot larger hypocrites than those Christians who in basic terms pray on Sundays. Yippe, ya hoo! We win! what's our prize?

Christians buy bears that are already named Jesus.

In the name of the prophet, a woman was convicted of blasphemy for allowing her students to choose a name for a toy, and now a mob wants to have her killed. If this is what people that revere Mohammed do in his name, why NOT mock him?

I read that she could have received 40 lashes as per law. My thinking is that maybe 40 is wrong and 43 is right.
My point is that evil is evil and deceives many. This is not an attack. Mortal thought hates the truth. We all agree on that.

What the teacher did was stupid, out of ignorance. She obviously had not bothered to study the culture she was entering.

However, you speak words of peace while she is in prison over a child's toy.

You can't have it both ways.

Kids just love Teddy Bears dear. I don't see what's wrong with naming Mohammad an object of universal love....

Perhaps that's just me....

Do you think the teacher should have stoned the kids to death for their choice dear ?
