In the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, intellectuals agonized over the question, Can an individual lead a good life without organized religion? Well, the results are in, and the answer is a resounding Yes.

But can a society survice without some kind of religious or racialist myth? That remains to be seen. The nations of western Europe have largely rejected their Christian heritage, but those nations are all going to be Islamic republics before the end of this century.

I prefer the values of secular humanism to those of Christianity, but if I have to chose between living in a Christian nation or a muslim nation, I'll pick the former alternative.

My PC won't boot, all the fans start, the mobo lights up. But there is no signal to the keyboard/mouse or monitor. The PC was working fine for around 3 weeks, then one day it just wouldnt start.

I have replaced the motherboard, the PSU and the CPU. Still the same problem, have tried to boot out on a non-conductive surface, to eliminate any shorting problems... still happens. I am sooo stuck, I have tried booting without a video card and without RAM still nothing, no post or anything. MY spec:

Core2Duo 2160 CPU
abit ip-35e Mobo
2gb DDR2 800mhz Ram
x1950 pro PCI-E GFX
600w OCZ stealthXtreme.

Find me the answer and I will love you forever :)

I've know that my brother has been gay since he was 15 years old. I have no problem with it by my parents are like in denial about it. That was until yesterday, my parents were awa at the store and my brother and his bf were in his room doing what people in love do when my mom walked in. Seh just walked out and was really upset. me and my brother really ant them to be ok with his sexuality so how can we help them accept this??

I answered a question the other day. The asker was visiting my city and asked if the hotel she had chosen was central and well located. I told her that while it was central, the area was rough and as a female traveller she would be better looking for a hotel in a different part of the city centre. The result was that I got lots of thumbs down. She chose an answer approving her choice of hotel as the best answer and just said that she hoped the negative answers weren't true.

So why did she ask in the first place?

Couple of years ago I had an accident and part of my face got burned and is scarred. Women see me and run the other way. A friend of mine introduced me to his cousin and she's a beauty. She's single and lives a quiet life and I found it hard to believe that she was single and not dating anyone and would even go out with me. She took one look at me and told me I have the bluest eyes she has ever seen in her life. We're dating now and she has never asked me about my scars. On the last date I put my arm around her and she looked at me and smiled and put her arm around me too. Last night she called and I was afraid to answer the phone, thought she was calling to break up with me. She left a message and said she was thinking about me and have a nice night Blue eyes. Blue Eyes is what she calls me and I like that. I don't understand why she didn't run the other way when she first met me. Is it crazy to say I feel wanted by her?

i personally wouldnt mind just being a farmer back in the old days working off the land and growing all my food and things like that i even tried it for a little while and yes i did enjoy it im fine with walking everywhere or using a bicycle or horse to get around people have forgotten that it just wasnt getting somewhere as fast as you can its also about the journey i would just rather live a simpler life but the way things are now its extremely hard
