They're not even close to meaning the same thing.

"Creditable" means worthy of respect, honor or esteem. This is its primary meaning. Its meaning as something "believable" is secondary at best. The word is rarely used in this context.

"Credulous" is a willingness to believe something too hasitly or with little or no evidence or reason.
