Practicing virtues is hard work.
1. To most of us they don't come naturally.
2. They take discipline and concentration, both of which are hard to find time for in our busy school & work lives.
3. They often conflict with fun things we know we shouldn't do, but would like to do anyway.
4. They often aren't the "cool" thing to do amongst our friends, so we all feel a little peer pressure not to be seen trying to do them or practice doing them.
5. They sound corny, which also doesn't help with your friends.
6. They're often things our parents say we must do, and everyone knows how teens feel about things their parents say must be done.

Good luck in the debate!

Ok what virtues will be you be discussing? Honesty? Very hard - do you never lie? Do you ever give in to temptation?
Hope this helps.
