Hi.
I have some conflicting points from different sources and was hoping someone could specify which is more correct.

My textbook tells me

"The extreme ascetic view sees sexual relations as appropriate only for the purpose of procreation and it is thus a necessary evil."
This tells me that sex, apart from procreation, is not had, in extreme groups of Judaism.

Another books says,
"Though rabbinic judaism took shape in the midst of the greco-roman world, it rejected a good deal of greco-roman though, including the idea that the human soul is good while the human body is evil. Unlike Christianity, therefore, Judaism never looked down upon bodily pleasure and did not associate sex with sinfulness."

Is it safe to say that the textbook is correct when talking about extreme cases only, or is there no chance of any Jew having the view that marital sex can be sinful.

At the age of 16 I'm still not baptized. I consider myself a Christian but I have never finish reading the Bible. When I first went to church I was age 12 and my pastor purposed to baptize me in his swimming pool. I only went to church for a couple of weeks and he already purposed to baptize me.

This leads to my first question:
Can I be baptized even though I have never read the bible (this was when I never started reading it.)?

Sadly I stopped going to church and never got baptized because I live pretty far from it and school, society, etc gets in the way. I always wondered would God still treat me the same way as a baptized person when I die.

This leads me to my second question:
In your opinion or facts, would God treat me differently then a baptized person? If yes, how would he treat me? If no, what is the point of being baptized?

I plan to finish reading the bible but not sure if I will ever be baptized. I would love to hear your comments.

If a|c and b|c and gcd(a,b) , then ab|c .
[Hint: By Theorem 2.12, p. 75, since gcd(a,b)=1 , we can write 1 = ax+by for some integers x and y . End of Hint.]

Ok, im fourteen years old and have suffered from acne for about three years now, some ways i've learned to control it but... still SUFFERING... Ya, i Cannot stand it, although its not terrible, but a little bit above common. Sometimes i feel like i'm being thought of in a different, more secluded way, even though no friends have mentioned it to me yet.

From a person almost never had this problem how does it appear to you? Is it worth rapidly dropping my self esteem?!

We're having a problem with the bathroom plumbing. For the past few days, anytime we flushed the toilet a gurgling noise would come from the sink. Tonight we're having a hard time getting the toilet to flush at all. We've plunged and plunged and have gotten the water to go down once, but every time we flush it just fills to the brim and plunging is helping less and less each time. The most recent discovery was that there is now water standing in the bathtub and no one has had a shower since about 9pm (Central). We don't know if we're connected to the city sewers or if we have a septic tank, either, so that kinda limits my ideas. We NEED HELP! PLEASE!

Do you know it's not of works. It's not because you were good?
You must read the Bible. Let God speak to you through the Bible. Don't believe in some denomination. The Bible is the Truth. How else do you think all this life and perfection is here? You don't want to spend eternity in hell.

There was a little boy playing in the living room with his new
Electric Train set that he'd just gotten for Christmas. His mother
was in the kitchen doing dishes.

The mother heard the train stop and heard her son bellow out,
"All you sons-a-b*tches that want to disembark do it now. Any of you bastards
who want to get on had better get going cause we're fixin' to leave."

Stunned, his mother immediately dropped what she was doing and ran
into the living room. She yanked her son up and said, "We don't use
that kind of language in this house young man! Now you can go up to
your room and you can come out in two hours after you've thought
about your behavior."

The little boy went to his room and returned to the living room in two
hours and started playing with his train again. The mother heard the
train stop and the little boy say, "I would like to thank those of you
leaving for traveling with us today. Please don't forget to take your
personal items with you. For those of you boarding the train, please
store your personal items under your seats or in the overhead bins.
We will be leaving shortly."

His mother was just as proud as a mother could be...

Her heart full of pride, she heard him continue, "And those of you
who are p*ssed off about the two hour delay, please see the b*tch in the
kitchen."

pretend not to be looking at her by pretending to look at the ceiling or scratch my head in deep thought or quickly look back around again. I'm wondering if I'm expected to say hi or something or smile every time but I really want to avoid her because I sit next to her but I don't find her that attractive she's not my type but fine to talk to. Am I being rude or would she think that I'm deliberately staring at her when I'm not really, I'm just a curious sort of guy. What should I do I don't have a clue.

Hi, my daughter, who is five, invited her teacher to her birthday party orally. I never thought to even invite her teacher, she told me that her teacher said yes. I don't know if her teacher said yes to be nice not to hurt my daughter's feelings, or if she really wants to go. She actually has 2 teachers at school. I don't know if I should ignore this, or actually send an invitation to both of her teachers. Sorry, I know this might be kind of a wierd question, any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks, =).

I am a 22 year old college student and lately this has been happening. I've been told that I'm a pretty good looking guy before by girls my age before...but in my classes girls that are much older (like in their 30's and 40's) say that I'm cute and nice looking. How come girls my age don't say that to me? It's kinda wired that older women are more open. Why is this?
Thank you!
