My husband and I were just awarded $14K in legal fees from an arbitration board of our county's state bar because our family law attorney was completely inept. She never filed for Discovery from his ex wife but charged us for it, lost subpoenas and never filed them, forgot to tell my husband about a crucial court date so he was fined $ thousands in sanctions, ever provided a statement in 8 months, etc. So the arbitration board ruled overwhelmingly in our favor to get all fees paid to her returned. If she doesn't appeal the decision in 30 days it's binding.

She just sent us a backdated bill with ridiculous made up fees totalling more than the $14K, so we think she's going to appeal and fight us into a legal malpractice lawsuit.

My question is, if we win a malpractice lawsuit against her and then she files bankruptcy, will she be exempt from ever returning any of our money or paying what we win from the lawsuit? Or would this be one of those exempt bills she has to pay??

i have about 4 felonies on my record. 1 is 11 years old and the other 3 or almost 7 years old. i know that 2 are for assualt with a deadly weapon, which one was dismissed by the court and the other one was convicted of. another is assualt and i beilieve i was charged with also. lastly the other was criminal terrorist threats and that was dropped with a plea bargan. I am 21 and never got in trouble after that i was 14 years old at the time i was charged and convicted. my records were sealed when i was 19 and i am now trying to become a police officer in the state of california. i am awaiting my live scan and i just wanted to see if anyone knew if those juvenile felonies would still show after being sealed. i had a letter from DOJ show at least one felony banning me from owning a gun prior to having my record sealed.

Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing
blue every Friday. The reason? Americans who support
our troops used to be called the 'silent majority' We
are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for
God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We
are not organized, boisterous or overbearing.
Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends,
simply want to recognize that the vast majority of
America supports our troops. Our idea of showing
solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and
respect starts this Friday -- and continues each and
every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a
deafening message that ... every red-blooded American
who supports our men and women afar, will wear
something blue.
By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United
States on every Friday a sea of blue much like a
homecoming football game in the bleachers. If every
one of us who loves this country will share this with
acquaintances, coworkers, friends, and family, it will
not be long before the USA is covered in BLUE and it
will let our troops know the once 'silent' majority is
on their side more than ever, certainly more than the
media lets on.
The first thing a soldier says when asked 'What can
we do to make things better for you?' is ...'We need
your support and your prayers.' Let's get the word out
and lead with class and dignity, by example, and wear
something blue every Friday.

As I understand, banks make money on the interest rate spread between lending and deposits. Let us say that a consumer puts $100 in my bank at my offered rate of x%. I can lend this $100 to someone else at (x+3%). I can make $3 if all works well.

Now, several complexities might arise.

1) I might not be able to lend all $100. I might just lend $30
2) The loan might get pre-paid and hence I don't make the entire spread.
3) Consumer might take out the money and hence Fed wants me to hold a certain amount of reserve that dampens my ability to lend
4) I can borrow at a certain inter-bank rate for day-to-day cash-flow that the Fed might come in and change
5) My competing bank drops the interest they charge on a loan , denting the demand for my loan
6) Added to that, banks offer multiple interest rates on both deposits as well as loans depending on credit risk, time horizons and principal.
7) Etc.

Are there models that allow me as a bank to set both deposit rates and lending rate?

Like most Americans, Superman is an immigrant but he is an exceptional one. As many immigrants come from other countries by earthly transportation, Superman crash-lands on earth from another planet in his rocket ship. Superman and American immigrants are different but go through the same necessities for a better life. Engle points out that his superpowers are “equivalent” to cultural characteristics that make immigrants stand out. Superman, like foreign settlers, dominates two personalities, one for his social life and other for his domestic life. He simulates fragility and human characteristics to the public as Clark Kent. At home, he reveals his powerful and heroic character as Superman, along with a costume to protect his “human” identity. Altogether, immigrants and this heroic figure have new identities in their lives to assimilate into the American society.

Please do not answer based on who you like better. Anyway, who's speed is more impressive for their size. I notice just at by hearing the weight of these 2 individuals, you wouldn't expect them to run and move the way they do. Particularly going back to when Undertaker was 328 pounds and moved similarly to how he does today at 300 pounds and Umaga and the way he moves at an obese size
