Hey everyone thanks for all the suggestions. I used quite a few and will keep the rest in my repetoire of remedies. Starting to feel better. Can't decide on the best so I will let it go to vote.

Thanks to who ever reported Sexy. She hates me because I told her to get a job and support her kids since her ex has leukemia. I'm all for men paying support but there's no reason she can't do w/o until he is better. That's if the guy doesn't die. I thought she was being very uncaring and greedy.

First, try drinking some hot tea with a little honey....that should help.
As for eating...ice cream, soup, etc. are the best things. Why dont you want to eat chicken soup? Thats really the only thing I could think of.
But, try the tea with honey....
I hope I was able to answer your question.

You could have some warm vegetable soup. Hot tea with agave nectar is good if you don't use honey.
What really soothes the throat, though, is hard fruit-flavored candy.

Have some warm vegetable broth or a nice hot barley tea both are really soothing and the barley tea is pretty filling. Good Luck!

OK not going to recommend chicken soup but something soft would work like mashed potatoes, get some veggie stock or bullion add veggies in there and make them soft. broccoli cooked very well is good as well. bananas, vanilla pudding(made with soy milk cause i see you posted under veggie person. margerined noodles.

I would try miso soup...it's a very soothing (and delicious!) alternative for chicken soup. Feel better!
