I would have to go with Mike Richards. Danny Briere is having his moment in the sun, but when it is all said and done, Richards will be the better player when his career is over. The kid has always been a heart and soul player, and will be Philadelphia's next great captain (Keith Primeau, anyone?).

Gotta agree with Snoop here. Danny Briere is great, but Mike Richards will end up being the better player I think.

Mike Richards. He's younger. Has this great talent. He's a more fluid player. I expect great things out of this player. Danny Briere's time is coming to an end.

Mike Richards. He's a better all-around player, natural leader and is as tough as nails. The most recent issue of The Hockey News is projecting Richards as the next Bobby Clarke. Yes, Briere can score goals but if you watch him carefully, he doesn't have as many tools in his bag of tricks and at times his play can become almost predictable.

Boy, if Mike Richards turns out to be the next Bobby Clarke or Keith Primeau, I'm going to be tight in the pants for a real long time.
Hopefully Jeff Carter will bring it up to close to that level too.

Richards is playing well, but it's about time. I'd have to take Briere over him at this point, since Briere has shown that he can sustain this kind of performance.
Richards has taken a few years to finally break through, and it's good to see.

Now that Richards seems to be playing like the guy the Flyers expected him to be, I believe he's going to be the better player. Physical size has something to do with it but now that he's comfortable he looks like the kid who was so good in junior.
