We did a height function problem today which stated that a batter hit a baseball ball directly upward at an initial velocity of 96 ft/sec. We were to find the usual total time in air, max height, etc...all of which we did...

But one of my students vehemently argued that the "hit directly upward" was not even possible. Can anyone help clarify the reasonableness of this word problem?

One of the head partners wants to use Access to manage his clients/matters, etc. I think he is starting to perceive the program as a sort of fix-all to his current state of disorganization.

Has anyone used MS Access to help organize the inner-workings of a law firm? And if so, do you have any advice about its use?

The host Alec Baldwin on this 2-hour special said that man used to be as hairy and ugly as apes, that man millions of years ago looks just like overgrown monkeys and had small brains. I'd HATE to think that was true.

That's like saying Adam and Eve, were freakin' apes or looked just like apes. I hope the theory of "Evolution" is wrong because if Adam and Eve looked like that, than that's disturbing.

i'm a girl, and i have this friend. We met in grade 5 and we kinda got closer every year. now im in gr8 and she started the year being really bitchy and a gossiper like always
me and my freinds faught with her a month ago because she was being bitchy and glaring at us for NO REASON WAT SO EVER so we like ingnored her and stuff.
and then we kinda talked with her and she started to be like REALLY nice and we all were friends again.
but now she has this boyfriend
who is my really good friend{ i dont like him}
and like she doesnt act like her self at all around him
and shes like really quiet around him
and stuff but we all no that really she is the biggest ***** EVER!
shes started to be kinda biotchy again and giving random glares
and she just doesnt act like i think a real friend should act.
she is such a spazz too!!!!!
she gets reallly annoying
sometimes i think she is a real friend, but other times i really dont.
so ya, i dont know what to do.. HELP=]
