I would have to go w/ Goodfellas ( Godfather 1 & 2 close behind)

The Godfather came closest to the 'mob' members I knew as a young girl. They harmed mainly one another, not 'civilians'. I loved the family atmosphere in this particular film, especially Connie's wedding. We crashed quite a few Italian weddings in our teenage years, and were always made welcome.
Godfather II is best in the flashback scenes: Little Italy as it was in the early nineteen-hundreds. So very believable. And Robert DeNiro, a fine actor, was perfectly cast.
Goodfellas has a crueler atmosphere, which can be alarming. Well done, but harsh. It was hard to find a sympathetic character among the mob members. That spoilt it for me.

I would have to whole heartedly agree, Good fellas is my personal favorite mob movie, as well as the Godfather movies. Also have you though of scarface.
