The host Alec Baldwin on this 2-hour special said that man used to be as hairy and ugly as apes, that man millions of years ago looks just like overgrown monkeys and had small brains. I'd HATE to think that was true.

That's like saying Adam and Eve, were freakin' apes or looked just like apes. I hope the theory of "Evolution" is wrong because if Adam and Eve looked like that, than that's disturbing.

How does this question form in one's mind?

Why on earth would you think that Adam and Eve were monkeys???!!!

We evolved from monkeys hundreds of thousands of years ago.

The whole garden of eden story is estimated around 6,000 years ago.

Well, if you can't believe it then don't, it's just a theory like adam and eve. A more realistic and sane one with much more evidence for it, but a theory none-the-less.

Trust me, believe whatever you want because nobody knows for sure. If believing in the adam and eve tale makes you comfortable and happy then nothing and nobody is harmed.

My theory: Adam and Eve are a metaphore to be dwelled upon - it seems pretty childish to actually think this is how it happened. What's sad is that people can't manage to believe in evolution and god at the same time. Well, there are plenty of scientists who can, but I guess they've got lots of brain power to figure it out.

Oh, and before you were a hairy beast with knuckles that dragged to the ground, you were a thoughtless and simple squirmy creature just learning to breath air.

Well, if it makes you feel better, by all means : "It Isn't So."

Feel good now?

Humans never looked like hairy, overgrown monkeys with small brains. Our ancestors lost most of their body hair and gained (relatively speaking) ginormous brains long before they became Homo Sapiens.

And since Adam and Eve never existed, they never looked like that any way.

hello friend,,,
i think if you read very carefully about Cain you will find where the so call cave men came from,, actually there is no such thing, but Cain was disfigured and his descendants,, for ever.. no such thing as evolution, do ya see any monkeys that are beginning to talk or apes, or any of them able to do the simplest things we humans do like starting a fire. use a little common sense....read the bible,, don't doubt , many will tell ya different things but it is exactly as god said. and there is no question anyone can ask that the answer is not in the bible,,, is any thinks so,,,than challenge and see.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What would be wrong with Eve looking like "Lucy"..

We still carry the genes to be hairy all over and those good old protruding brow ridge genes are still there. You wouldn't have noticed much if that's how everyone else was.

Yes we all know you Christians hate to believe
that. You rather believe in a quite eccentric
superpower wielding nutcase who keeps talking
snakes in his garden and talks to his followers through
burning bushes.
