I live on a typical suburban street with regular sized houses on small lots, in a regular town near a large city. We have 16 houses on a dead end street. The funny thing is no one knows any of their neighbors.

When I moved into the street a few years ago I tried to strike up a conversation with the neighbors, but got the brush off. They acted like they were to important to talk to me. I have watched the neighbors and I do not think it is personal because I do not see anyone talking to anyone. I appears like everyone is ignoring their neighbors even if they are standing right next to each other doing yard work.

Is this suburban living in the 21st Century? Are people this isolated from each other everywhere? Or is it just me?

Towards the end of the golf course, Dave somehow managed to hit his ball into the woods, finding it in a patch of pretty yellow buttercups.
Trying to get his ball back in play, he ended up thrashing just about every buttercup in the patch.

All of a sudden...POOF! In a flash and puff of smoke, a little woman appeared. She said, "I'm Mother Nature! Do you know how long it took me to make those buttercups? Just for that, you won't have any butter for your popcorn the rest of your life, better still, you won't have any butter for your toast for the rest of your life.....as a matter of fact, you won't have butter for anything for the rest of your life!"

Then POOF she was gone.

After Dave got a hold of himself,he hollered for his friend, Fred

"Fred, where are you?"

Fred yells back, I'm over here in the p*ssy willows."

Dave yells back...."DON'T SWING, FRED!!! For the love of God, DON'T SWING!!!"

I think my family is so silly, well at least my dad and brother. They think Linda is divorcing because she truly doesn't want to be with Hogan and said it was even evidenced on the show because they felt they saw lots of instances where the two didn't have anything in common and Linda didn't even want to take a bath with Hogan. They think now that he is home so much from wrestling, she doesn't want to be around him and wants to get a divorce. I think Linda wanting money or just not liking Terry is bogus. First of all, she could have left a long time ago and got a lot of money if that's what it had to do with. I think it has to do with Nick and this accident he recently got in. Think about it, this whole divorce is right when Nick is going to jail and dealing with this accident. I think Terry's behavior has been really crude in response to his son going to jail and dealing with all these bad state of affairs to the point where Linda can't even handle it.

Since many of us have engaged in very serious or silly or controversial banter on R&S, is it liberating to show your face or does it make you feel vulnerable? Do people look the way you thought they might given what they claim to be i.e. atheist, Catholic, Buddhist, Pagan, Muslim etc. or did you imagine something entirely different? Do you think biases about religion effect the way you think someone might look once you actually see the real human? Thank you and namaste!

That's what it says everytime I open up a new or old document on Microsoft Word, or when I minimize a document and reopen it, or even when I change from viewing one document to another.

I click no, yet it always asks again. I've had this for a while, and it is very tiring.

I am running Windows XP and cannot find my Word cd, nor do I have any wish to install anymore features. It works fine as it is!

Any help to get rid of this would be greatly appreciated!

Use one of the most inefficent methods to help deliver their message?..I refer to newspapers that use millions of trees worth of paper each year,burn tons and tons of fuel to deliver the papers to the newsstands and homes and burn untold kilowatts of electricity to print the papers?..doesnt this stirke anyone as the ultimate in waste?..something akin to Algore flying around on a private jet and buring a kilowatt of electricity a second at his estate?...

I am a 24 yr old female. My dentist is 28 yrs old.
I know he is not married, but I am not sure if he has a girlfriend. He is extremely flirtatious when I come in for appointments, but I have a hard time telling whether he is like that with everyone, or me specifically.
I am afraid he may never confront me because he is at his place of work and he may not think it is appropriate to ask me out while he is at work.

Hi, I'm a 14 year old girl. I weight about 114 lbs. I'm around 4'11-5'0 or 5'1. I have very low self esteem beacuse of my fat underneath my arms, and also the love handles that I have. It's not much, but I do wish to get rid of it. Can anyone please help me? I'll be forever thankful.
