I am a 24 yr old female. My dentist is 28 yrs old.
I know he is not married, but I am not sure if he has a girlfriend. He is extremely flirtatious when I come in for appointments, but I have a hard time telling whether he is like that with everyone, or me specifically.
I am afraid he may never confront me because he is at his place of work and he may not think it is appropriate to ask me out while he is at work.
My question is : How do I let him know I am interested in him?
Should I wait for him to confront me? Or, should I confront him? If so, how?

i think you should bring a long a friend who's just very outgoing and have her ask your dentist if he might be interested in you. if your realy confident in yourself and your not afraid to be rejected then maybe you should be upfront with him and ask if he has any feelings for you. I think that it might be better to have someone else ask for you so when you find out that he might not have any interest in you, you wont be affected by it or you can just play it off like you didnt hear anything. Because if you end up asking yourself things between the two of you might be awkward and i dont think you want to go through the trouble of having to find a new dentist.

If you want to raise the question - probably the best way is to ask him to recommend another dentist in the same area. Or perhaps comment that you don't know why it's taken him so long to recommend another dentist!

He'll want to know why. (Particularly why he's losing a customer!)

You get a chance now to explain that he's been flirting and you've been liking it, and that your understanding is that it would be unethical for a dentist to be treating someone they are emotionally involved with.

HOWEVER, I think that you might be disappointed to find that the "flirting" is just his way of putting you at ease and that he interacts with all female patients of your age group in that manner.

You have no other way of asking him. So make an appointment or just drop by and just ask him out.
