I'm not sure what you're referring to when you say "prosperity gospel", but whenever I hear that term, I always think of a certain TV evangelist who is ALWAYS talking about how God has a blessing for you, just waiting for you to go grab it.... and I think of others who think that once you're a Christian, it's all a blessing after blessing, everything is always gonna be fine type deal. I don't know what kind of gospel they're reading or what kind of drug they're smoking, but that is certainly NOT the Holy Bible I'm reading, it says "in this world you will have trouble".
Those who think that being a Christian means that life is going to just be easy street... I think those are the TV evangelists and the pastors with body guards, those who have made millions writing books.... of course they're on the financial "Easy Street" because they're loaded with money! Why would they covet money? Why would they worry about bills? (They wouldn't!)

coveting is for the purpose to have things selfishly.
christianities prosperity is for the purpose of being able to enjoy life - not be in debt or lack.
and financially support those spreading the gospel, or be personally involved in spreading the gospel.

None. The New Testament teaches very clearly that after you have met the needs of your family, you share the extra with those who are hurting. The first time someone explained "prosperity gospel" to me, I was astounded.

I believe coveting is generally seen as wanting something another person has, while the "prosperity Christians" only want what they believe their religion promises.

Finally-you impress me.
Nothing!
BTW the prosperity gospel does not belong to or in Christianity. Those who preach it are phony, those who follow it are foolish.

No follower of Christ in the Bible ever prospered. If anything, they suffered. Suffering is a part of bearing your cross.
