Is it not the intent behind the word over the word itself? If not, is there some sort of magically property to the word? Do those letters, arranged in that order, and pronounced as such, create some sort of triggered involuntary reaction that people would be offended regardless of the intent of it's usage?

Mom told me not to be shaving my pubic hair. What should I do?
I was showering when my mom came into the bathroom to get something and saw me shaving my hair down there.

Later that evening she sat me down and said not to be doing that anymore. She gave some health reasons and then said she didn't think that a Christian girl had any buisness shaving that because she thinks it looks worldly and like the body of a prostitute. She said that we need to stay away from sexual sin. She said God put hair there for a reason.

I told her I am 14 and have to shower with girls who all shave and I don't want to be the only one who doesn't.

My best friend poured her heart out 2 me. I didn't know that her & hubby were having so many issues. They both admit to being madly in love/soulmates, yet fight like cats & dogs. He was fed up after 3 years & attempted to kiss a massage therapist after a 2 hour back rub down. She rejected his attempts thank God for my friend, but ended up calling my friend to tell her what happened. When he got home he was ready to talk about it & poured out his heart to her about how her coldness to him in the marriage makes him feel like she doesn't love him and he was at a breaking point. Not wanting out of the marriage, just feeling like his wife has given up on him & him in turn letting all guards down to "manly" urges. They have 3 kids, 1 new born. Stress & financial issues are high in this home. They seem to truly be meant for one another, what can they do? He seems to be sincerely sorry but how can she know for sure? They are gonna go to there church for some counseling! :(

I am traveling to MI for Christmas with my boyfriend to spend it with his family. It will be my first Christmas doing so (we've been together a couple of years now).

I don't have a TON of money, but would like to make some little gift bags or something for his extended family (grandma, aunts, uncles, etc).. those people I don't know too much about but would still like to show them I appreciate getting to see them and all. I will be buying gifts for his parents and brother, so that's not an issue.

Does anyone have any suggestions for affordable gift bag ideas that won't be cheesy, and will give a nice impression? Thanks!

A Soldier's Life

It was a long and bloody war,
but I knew what we were striving for.
Ready to pay the cost, I put on my gear,
and down to the Flanders Fields, I walked in fear.
Leaving my family behind caused me tremendous pain,
and not being with them made me nearly go insane.
The sound of gun shots ringing in my ears,
day and night, that's all I hear.
But I knew I had to continue the fight,
so, I gave it all my strength and might.
Weak and exhausted, I could barely cope,
but standing for my country gave me great hope.
Down in the trenches we stealthily hid,
fearing for our lives, as we always did.
Dealing with diseases that made our bodies rot,
the agony of war will never be forgot.
Watching my fellow comrades, as the days went by,
so many wounded, so many died.
The war was nearly over, the time becoming near,
to see the ones I loved and those who were so dear.
My heart was filled with sadness for the lives that were lost,
knowing they loved their country and truly paid the cost.
But I was a soldier ready to move ahead,
willing to face the future no matter where it lead.
