Hello,
I'm thinking of relocating to the Boston are. I'm hoping to rent a two-bedroom apt. for 1300 or less a month. I've seen Craigslist ads for such in Newton, Medford, and Belmont, but I don't know these towns.
Can anyone recommend quiet and safe towns that are within commuting distance of Boston (say 1 hour or less commute time)? Preferably, I'd like something with a cute, walkable downtonwn area.
PS: What is the culture and nightlife in Boston like, for single thirty-somethings? I grew up near NYC, and I've lived in San Francisco, so I'm used to exciting nightlife. I understand that Boston is more lowkey, but I'm wondering if some residents could give me their opinions.

Short of the wineries and the campuses, I did it all: The commons, nice old bookstores, fabulous restaurants, Ecovillage, hiking to the Falls on possibly the most gorgeous nature trail I have ever seen or experienced. Got a taste of student life, family life, life in shared or intentional community. Stayed at a sweet bed and breakfast at a more than reasonable price. Connected with more people in one day than I would ever connect with in NY in one week. Although, I did just have a blast breaking the no-talk rules on the A train and on the elevator on my way back to my apt. in Harlem.

So what's the problem? I want to move. I know my days are numbered here in the Big Apple. For the first time in a long time I was actually disappointed when I saw the NYC skyline looming in the distance as we approached on the interstate.

But in the past when I tried moving to SC (long story) I came back to NY after six months hugging cab drivers. D'you know what I'm sayin?

Feedback?

If I have the question:

4x1 + 3x2 = 18
3x1 - x2 = 7

How would I solve it using matrices?

Note: the 1 and 2 aren't 'to the power', its to differentiate between two different variables.

and someone asks you directly if your husband ever hit you.. how do you answer? Do you say, "No"? What if someone comes along and says, "Yes he did. I saw him spank you that one time."
How are you supposed to answer?

I'm just curious.

My eyes are like a dirt brown; sometimes I wear contacts, sometimes I don't. But people always say the same thing... that I have beautiful eyes. What makes someone's eyes look beautiful? My eyes look pretty normal to me, but that is probably because I see them all the time. Haha! But seriously, I don't get it. I'm flattered, but I don't get it.

I bought a metallic gold long skirt this summer, but couldn't find any top to go with it. When I was at the store, they showed me a white shirt with gold hem, but I didn't buy it because it was too expensive. Now, I'm confused! Can somebody help me? I found this item on ebay and it's the same color as my skirt.

We have a wire of 1 m and we bend it in a shape of S. When I say "in shape of S" I mean by sides being verticals and horizontals not curvey sides.

Okay so Four sides of the shape of S are 22.22 cm and one side is 11.11 cm, making it 1 m. So how do I find the center of mass:

1) by hanging the configuration, S, from a string or hook.
2) by measuring the configuration, S, and calculating the Center of mass with formulas.

And one more thing the sides could be on any side it doesnt matter.

Thanks in advance

If we all have ''free will'' why should there be a constant threat of 'punishment' if we choose ''not to believe''? Live our lives by an ethical code of behavior, common sense, and that's good, too. But, don't push it on others. Right?
Or if we 'choose to believe' and live moral lives, well, good for us. But, don't push it on the others. Right?
Free to choose? in god. Yes?
Free to choose? Not to believe in god. No?
If we have a set of rules, decided by logic, and ethics, and the law of the land, do we really need anything else?
If you break the law of the land. Jail
Breaking of moral or ethical law? Punishment by peers?
People should be able to make a 'rational decision' as to what they believe. Free will.?
Who says there is only ''one way to go'', IF we have free will?????
So, I don't understand all the hoopla, about, how we think, either for god, or against god, if you aren't free to choose, where does the free will, come in??????????

Does anyone else know how this works, this ''f

I am pregnant, and afraid that I will never be able to find a decent man to fall in love with because of the baggage that baby will bring. I love my baby so much already, but I am so scared that now I will be alone forever because of the decisions I have made.

I guess my question is, are there any women out there who have found great men during or after a pregnancy? And are there any men out there who aren't completely turned off by the thought of a pregnant woman/single mother?

This is my first baby, and my fear of solitude has me going crazy...insight?

I've been living in a senior apartment downtown L.A. The company, which owns the complex gives part of the parking spaces to the tenants and leases the garage on the other side to a parking company. I want to complaint about it because since I haven't got a space yet, I have to buy a monthly parking from somewhere else around my place. I think the company should let the tenants use its garage, which it is leasing. I'm depending on welfare; I can't spend on buying a parking that costs me almost rent. Who do you think I have to contact to solve this problem?
