On the (numerous) occasions I've run out of laundry detergent mid-loads and need some in a pinch, I've always been concerned about what to use or not use instead. I was considering baking soda, dishwasher detergent, hand soap, dish soap (like Dawn, etc).

Any suggestions of what does and does not work?

Once there was a Blonde, a Brunette, and a Redhead on top of a burning building. On the ground were several firemen with a sheet. Right before she reached the ground, they pulled away the sheet and she went SPLAT! on the ground. They said the same thing to the redhead, but she said "No, I saw what you did to the brunette, i'm not dumb". THey said "No,no, no, you've got it all rong, we LIKE redheads, we don't like brunettes". So she jumped, and she went SPLAT! on the ground. Then the blonde came. They said the sam ething, but she didn't believe them when they said they actually LIKED blondes. "So here's what we'll do", she said. "Put the sheet on the ground, and BACK AWAY from it." She jumped, and she went SPLAT! on the-no, not the ground-the sheet.

INGREDIENTS
1 (8 ounce) package PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
4 squares BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, melted
1 (6 ounce) package BAKER'S Premium White Baking Chocolate
12 hard peppermint candies, crushed


DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Beat cream cheese, butter, sugar and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add flour and baking soda; mix well. Blend in semi-sweet chocolate.
Shape tablespoonfuls of dough into 52 balls. Roll each ball into 3-inch-long rope. Place, 2 inches apart, on baking sheet, bending top of each slightly to resemble a candy cane.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned; cool 5 minutes on baking sheet. Transfer to wire racks; cool completely. Microwave white chocolate as directed on package; drizzle over cookies. Sprinkle with crushed candies. Let stand until chocolate is firm.

ok, before i wanted tobe an actress and i told my mom and she doesnt want me to be an actress because of all the hard work and rejection and blah blah blah. so i continued to like and then when i moved i became interested in other things because i thought it was never going to happen. then i saw a movie and it really inspired me to want to act again. my mom thinks i just get ''bitten by the acting bug'' and i wont wanna do it anymore. i really want to see what i can do in this business. and i dont live anywhere near any agencies or nothing like that. i wanna go to acting camp and a good one for tv acting but you know its really expensive and stuff. i wanna tell her but how? she wants me to get a good job and not be starving like most aspiring actors. btw, im only 13 so i have plenty of time. i wanna do what makes me happy.

The router is workind fine on the desktop and with the wireless to the Wii. The problem is connecting it to my laptop. My laptop will find the signal, try to connect then say "Limited or No connection". I then try to repair the connection by hitting "Repair" but it will get to "Renewing your IP Address" then quit out. I'm guessing it's doing that becuase it's timed out.

Help!?

I recently had a landscape company out to my house to repair my sprinkler system. The owner said they could come out in 3 days to repair it as they would be in my neighborhood then for regular mowing. They used a locating device to find the valve and replaced it and it worked, the repair took about one hour. I received a bill the next day for $364.23 for the repair. $235 was to locate and replace the valve, $29.23 for the valve and $100 for the rental of the locating device to find the valve. Prior to them coming out I never asked the cost for them to come out to do the repair ( I know, my mistake). The owner said part of the $235 was owed for consulting services over the phone when we tried to diagnose the problem. She also said they rushed out to handle the repair. I find this whole bill a bit absurd. Consulting services and rental on the locator!!!! I sent a check for $179 and said I would pay no more. I live in Texas, what are my rights in this situation? Thanks.

I have court papers stating that my husbands ex and him alternate weekends with the kids. Holidays and special days (mothers and fathers day, thaksgiving and easter) supersede the schedule, does this mean if we have thanksgiving and it was her weekend, that the schedule now flips, since she lost her weekend. or is her weekend just voided?

religion and/ spirituality to bring about peace and completeness in your own lives. Why is this such a non-peaceful section?

I feel any spiritual being would be appalled by the amount of hatred when the point of all of this is to bring about peace, love and harmony.
