ok, before i wanted tobe an actress and i told my mom and she doesnt want me to be an actress because of all the hard work and rejection and blah blah blah. so i continued to like and then when i moved i became interested in other things because i thought it was never going to happen. then i saw a movie and it really inspired me to want to act again. my mom thinks i just get ''bitten by the acting bug'' and i wont wanna do it anymore. i really want to see what i can do in this business. and i dont live anywhere near any agencies or nothing like that. i wanna go to acting camp and a good one for tv acting but you know its really expensive and stuff. i wanna tell her but how? she wants me to get a good job and not be starving like most aspiring actors. btw, im only 13 so i have plenty of time. i wanna do what makes me happy.

It's good that you know you have plenty of time. Try out for plays at your school, and see as many plays as you can at community theatres and professional theatres in your area. Stage acting might seem to be a long way from TV and movie acting, but it's good preparation for your future career. Be sure to keep up your grades in all your classes so your Mom can see that your passion for acting doesn't interfere with the rest of your education.

If acting is still what rings your chimes when you get to high school and college, keep on trying out for shows and racking up as much experience as you can.

There are lots of really talented people in their 20s and 30s who act whenever they can, but earn their livings as waitresses and office temps. They're not rich and famous, but they know that acting is what makes them really happy. Maybe that's your future, or maybe you'll be a multi-millionaire Hollywood and Broadway star. Either way, I hope you'll have a great life.

I'm 15 and I'm trying to be an actress and I been turnded down so far, but I'm still gonna try. You should tell your mom and get a back-up plan, because who won't make every show and Actors don't make that much money.

As for the camps, some of them offer scholarships, so you can go for free.

hi! i'm an actress and i'm 13 too. Just tell your mom that you are really passionate about it and that you love it so much that you can handle the rejection. Tell her that you can do auditions through video tapes and that you will take responsibility with this. Just tell her the way you feel about it. I wish you the best of luck and let me know how it goes!!

she wants you to secure a job before acting. you should seriously secure 1 before acting, because really, what if you were rejected? i inspire you to move to your dreams, but be careful!
