Disagree. I definitely don't believe in child abuse or beating anyone. Spanking should NEVER leave any marks. But, some kids need a good pat on their bottoms. When I was a kid that was the only reason why I behaved. I was afraid that my father would give me a spanking. And I never behaved like some of the kids I see now a days. I can't imagine being 6 or 7 years old and saying a whole array of cuss words. But, that doesn't seem to be out of the normal for today's generation.

Disagree. Spanking is good discipline as long it is done properly (no beating) and without anger on the spanker's part.

Spanking is not the sole issue........
Letting your children know that there are absolute limits to acceptable behavior, which applies to their WHOLE life.
The time frame for spankings is relatively short. You have to find a way to get your child to understand ....for their whole life ..... how you expect them to behave. I've always told mine that "I want them to grow up to be productive adults"
There are many methods of modifying your children's behavior ... other than spanking ..... but modify their behavior is a must.

I strongly disagree.
They shouldn't be beat to a bloody pulp or anything, but if they're not listening to anything else, then they need a good thumping on their bottoms to set them straight.
Kids need plenty of discipline.
Something they rarely get nowadays with everyone screaming "abuse" left and right.
