Well I recently spent my ENTiRE weekend writing this 5 page essay. I thought it was amazing and one of the best writings I have ever done. So, I show it to my parents for some support and some "Good Job's!"

Instead I get...
"What's wrong with you? It's terrible! You never write as bad as this! This is the wrong type of writing style! You should write it over again!"

First of all they have to understand that I'm a teen...
And that they have been alive 50 years more then I have.
Im just so so sad right now, because I spent to much time writing it. I don't know what to do now. This might seem like a tiny issue but it means a lot to me. =[

Why are we getting such little rain in southern California nowadays? It's a little disturbing and I miss the occasional fall-winter rains here in So Cal. It used to rain a decent amount but now we're getting almost nothing.

I'm a18 year old female, and I'm currently "overweight".
I'm joining the Army in February of 2008, but I have to lose about 40 lbs to be able to go to Basic.
I have been excercising like a maniac for the past week and I have been eating EXTREMELY healthy.

My question to you is:
Is ONE Oatmeal pie cookie going to "RUIN" my diet? Will I really have to run about 5 miles for it to come off?
Or is it OK to have a treat ever other weekend?

We'd like to know if we're the only family that does this. We live in a home with vents that are on the floor instead of the ceiling. So when it's cold outside and we want to warm up in a hurry, or sometimes just because it feels toasty, we do the flow thing. We sit on the edge of my bed where there is a vent and the heat is on. We take a bedsheet and wrap it around the front of us, and make sure to drape it over the vent. The heat fills the sheet, puffing it out like a marshmallow. The whole sheet fills with nice, warm air from the heater and it feels great. Are we sick people, or does anyone out there do this?

Okay, well I know what a postcard is, but I'm guessing that they don't want a postcard from me that has a picture of Hawaii on the front and tells about my vacation on the back. :)
Some of the casting agencies say that a postcard is an easy, cheaper way to let them know when something on your resume, or headshot has been added or changed. I know that you put your headshot on the front of it and that it is 8 x 10, but then does your resume go on the back? Is that all you include? Can you please give me a basic example of a postcard that could be sent in? I already have a headshot and a resume, just not postcards. Also, where can you get them made or printed? Walmart? Thank you so much for any help!

Does it tick you off when someone has had their house burglarized and they say "I feel as if I have been raped?"

Dont you love people who sit waiting at a red light, until it turns green THEN they put on their signal light?

How about people who just idle up to the red light when you are behind them trying to get into the left turn lane, and that light is already green but you cant get past the idler ahead of you?

Those people who as soon as there is an accident want the speed limits lowered?

Drivers who think doing 10 kph BELOW the speed limit makes them safer drivers, when it makes them a hazard instead?

People who completely go nuts at xmas, max out their credit, never mind spend all their cash and then moan and complain until July about the bills, but then do it all over again the next xmas.

People who phone you xmas morning and say merry christmas guess what I got and list off all 200 items they received even the roll of life savers in their stocking.

I have a gap between my two front teeth, and it bothers me. I want to get it fixed and I've been considering porcelain veneers. I'm curious to know what it's like to have them, does the dentist drill your teeth, how long do they last, how many trips to the dentist it takes to get them on, how long in between trips to the dentist it is, and how they look when they're on?

Also any personal stories about getting a gap fixed are always welcomed!

Please answer this, I'm really curious about it, and would like to act fast on getting my teeth fixed. I've lived with this long enough.

I mean, what benefits are there in dating a woman with a child or children?

It affects the intimacy..any spontaneous activity is gone...no matter how great a guy you are you will never be #1 to your woman.

It affects your wallet (like it or not sooner or later the ex will quite paying support), and you are robbed of having the milestone of sharing the firstborn baby with her, if you want kids of your own.

The ex will always be part of the picture...if he is not present the kid will hold it against you! And the woman has had another man's seed growing in her womb.

Why bother?

my ex is blackmailing me emotionally. he keeps saying he is going to commit suicide. I fell for it for 5 years. I talked him out of it every time - or maybe it was just a game to get my attention and to get his own way. Our relationship ended a month ago, and he is blaming me for his depression (even though he was depressed before we met (which he denied until 3 months into the relationship).I know I shouldn't be so weak. I can't be treated like dirt because he suffers from depression. my friends tell me he is bluffing and i should cut all ties. It's a bit of a gamble to take seeing as he has tried to commit suicide twice before (before we met). I found out recently he spent time in a mental institution. He has no (close) friends and no family. I am the closest to him, but i can't take it anymore. (it brings me down). I care about him yet i want to break free - but how would i feel if he did hang himself? i wish i'd never met him. i don't know what to do. what would you do?
