My feeling is that as long as you eat healthy the majority of the time and are exercising then one treat now and then is fine. I don't think deprivation is a good way to diet. If you are really craving something then go for it. Just make sure you only eat one and don't make it a daily habit and you will be fine. I think the only way an occasional treat ruins peoples diets is when they say " Oh I had that slice of pizza so I mine as well have 2 more"
Good luck with losing the 40 pounds.

Dear Amor, It took more than one Little Debbie to gain 40 lbs....and one cake will never ruin your diet. You are determined and motivated so forget about that cake. If you decide to have it, fine. If you decide to have something else, fine. But it is the change of eating style and life style that will get you the results and soon your treat will be more in agreement with nutritional needs, perhaps you'll be giving yourself a fresh juicy mango, or pineapple, or baked apple with cinnamon....Keep going

Will ONE Debbie Cake kill your diet? Absolutely not!! That's probably less than 200 calories. You NEED to cheat once in a while, and that's a "small cheat." Just jump right back on the band wagon, and forget about it.
Pretend it never happened, and just continue where you left off. You can lose that 40 pounds, and KEEP it off! Just keep eating when you're HUNGRY, not bored, or happy, or sad, or just thirsty for water!! I KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!! :)

i believe you need a treat every once in a while that way your not denying yourself your usual thing's , and when poeple totally remove everything they used to eat that is when they fail on thier diet's so eating an oatmeal pie is not going to do any harm as long as you only do it every once in a while and just one not the whole box . Good Luck with the Weight loss and Congrat's for join the Army!!!

As long as you exercise the calories off you should feel guilt-free. However, in my book, taking in that little, delectable, fine-tasting goodness could weaken your will. Stay strong.
Fortune cookie say:
Exercise WILL to make it through future events like a basic training.

Yes it will. The reason is that one thing leads to another. One slack moment leads to a second one. One moment of strength and self control leads to another.
February is only a short time away. If you are serious and committed to the Army and your future, stand strong and resist temptation.
If you want to fail yourself and your future, go ahead and have the cookie.
Cheers from an Army vet.

definetly not...but you have to know if you are the type that can stop at one Debbie cake or not until you have eaten the whole box of them. some can't control the sugar intake once that stuff touches there lips, some can. a lot of dieting is knowing your weaknesses and addressing them.

i don't think it will ruin your diet, but i do think that to keep yourself the level of fitness that you want to be at you will have self control. and there is no time like the present, so i think that you should start practicing self control now and not eat the cookie!

Ask yourself... What's more important to you? Joining the army or a cookie? Don't eat it.

Okay, if you just eat one now, then you will think that you can just eat one later and soon you've eaten the whole box. So unless you run while your eating it, I say dont do it.
