Okay, well I know what a postcard is, but I'm guessing that they don't want a postcard from me that has a picture of Hawaii on the front and tells about my vacation on the back. :)
Some of the casting agencies say that a postcard is an easy, cheaper way to let them know when something on your resume, or headshot has been added or changed. I know that you put your headshot on the front of it and that it is 8 x 10, but then does your resume go on the back? Is that all you include? Can you please give me a basic example of a postcard that could be sent in? I already have a headshot and a resume, just not postcards. Also, where can you get them made or printed? Walmart? Thank you so much for any help!

Oops, I put that a postcard is an 8x10, but it's really smaller than that, isn't it?

You want a miniature comp card with your head shot and latest resume entries, current contact info, etc/. Staples ought to be able to help you design one. By and large, casting agencies are no good for beginers and they only want to get you to upgrade to better services by paying fees. They will not help you get a career in acting. You need to follow the tried and true way of hard work, experience and training.

More and more casting agencies are digitizing their headshots along with other info about actors. Most likely they will scan the postcard and add it to the other images and info they have on you. If they already have your basic info, keep the information to a minimum.
