My husband was released from prison in May 07 and he owes child support. We aren't even together any longer but haven't filed for separation or divorce yet. He had a job for about 2 mos. this summer not making much money. Can I file head of household (its my apartment), married filing separately? And do I need to file with him if he didn't make enough money to file?

The world today is largely driven by consumers. A company that is doing great, employing large numbers of people, making a great product or providing a great service and giving back to the community in a large way will go under if people don't like the product or service. People rate the success of their life by how much they own, they have a poor and incomplete life if they have little but they would have a better life if they had some more stuff, even if they have a great family and friends to support them. Even elections these days are won and lost largely by the state and status of the economy and how much money it puts into people back pocket instead of issues affecting other aspects of life.

So my question is, what would the world look like and how would it differ, both in economics and in social aspects as well, if the world we live in were less driven by economics, consumers and money?

Please explain your answers, focusing on the social aspects, changes and differences please.

I'd been with my bf for 6 months and of that 6 months, 3 were long distance. We had sex, using a condom and somehow the impossible happened.
He wants me to have an abortion and says he can not and will not be a father to the baby, citing the fact that we live so far apart and that we've only known each other a short while. I agree, we haven't known each other for an optimal time, but I honestly feel that I couldn't live with myself if I had an abortion. I'd rather go it alone...but he says that even then, he'd know he had a child out there he doesn't know and the thought would kill him. So I'm supposed to choose between my feelings and his, I guess. Is there some middle ground i'm missing?

I was thinking the other day about how much obesity there is in the US and stuff and this random thought occured to me:
If people continue eating so much junk food, would it be possible that someday we could evolve so that our bodies would be better adapted for this kind of food and it would actually be GOOD for us?

I really know pretty much nothing about evolution, could you help me out?

looking for any rap artist you can think of with a deep scruffy voice with an album out before 2003, but not so old skool - probably after 1997 also; i've got the obvious like dmx, ja rule, tupac/makaveli and busta rhymes covered... help me out with some more i've probably overlooked - it's actually to help me find a song (it's not shoot em up by nas) - but it has jingling bells in the intro and a deep voice that's been hollowed/echo effected going "uhhh" (sounds like busta rhymes in "dangerous") before it bursts straight into the lyrics and the entire song's vocals are of the same echoy/hollow tone - but not quite in the background... and of course the voice is deep and kindof scruffy - almost sounds yelling... not an intricate bass line, but it's deep and drawn out into whole notes and monotonous throughout the whole song

sorry that's all i got... it's been years since i've heard the song...

Ok, My husband and I have been ttc for two months now. I ovulate sometime this week, and yet again, we have been trying... My sister-in-law called today and said she is pregnant. I do not know if I want to get pregnant now(might be too late for that, haha). I don't want her to think I am stealing her spot light so to speak. This is her first, and she is the only girl, so this pregnancy will be special for a lot of people. I hate to break our plans, but if I am planning on getting pg, we would be due within weeks of each other, possibly. I was pg for the first time at the same time as my sister, so I never knew how it felt to be the center of the pg lime light so to speak. How would any of you feel if someone came swooping in and stole the spotlight from you? Would you be mad, or irratated? I am curious to know your thoughts. :) I am nervous about getting pregnant and getting her upset... Anyone else had this problem or would feel upset in this situation?

Last year I started looking for a DVD of this movie and was surprised to find it wasn't readily available. Not even Best Buy, Sam Goody's, or Blockbuster carried it. The only available copies were from Amazon for like $75, and the only ones on eBay either looked like bootlegs or were also expensive. Is there any place I can get this movie at a reasonable price? I tried recording it from Starz, but apparently DirectTV sends out this BS copyright protection signal that interferes with my recorder. I would really like to be able to sit down some night during the holidays and watch this classic movie with my girlfriend, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

A police ticketed me tonight for not trying to stop first in front of a yellow light. But when I saw the green light turned yellow, I wasn't too far away so I decided to speed up to cross it. If I tried to stop it would have been a really awkward and sudden stop. I wasn't speeding. If I hesitated the outcome wouldn't be good as well. I told the police it wasn't reasonable to ticket because I was trying to select the best option. I will dispute the ticket and he said he is ready to go to the court. Do you guys think if I can win? Is it reasonable to ticket me in that situation?
