Hi Kim!!!!!

It has more to do with how a couple is feeling about each other, than the fact that they are married. Men can be mad at their wives and have sex anyway. For them, sex is not related to their emotions like women. For us, if we're mad or our feelings have been hurt....there will be no sex. Or it will be very unsatisfying. We need to feel wanted, sexy, loved and valued to be able to just let go and have a great time. When we have families it can be hard to keep this in mind. My husband and I have date nights and we try to get away for a weekend every 4-6 months. No kids. We pretend we're dating and REALLY talk to each other. By the time we get back to the hotel, we're crazy for each other.

This is a 2nd marriage for both, we learned a lot from the mistakes we had with our firsts. We also have 2 older kids 21 and 18 who don't mind hanging with the younger two when we need to get away, so I realize it's not always easy for everyone. But you can still put the kids to bed, have a nice dinner alone, and spend some time connecting to each other. It can't just be in bed. Sex should be the "cherry on the sundae" after most of the emotional needs have been met.

Together 15 years, married 12, still going strong!

This is my favorite subject....lol...can ya tell?????

Its true... and false. It depends on the couples. There are some couples that stop having sex very often after they get married... some never change how often they have sex or their performance... Some couples even wait until they are married to have sex for the first time. There is no right or wrong out look here--for some it is a myth, for other it is true.

Yes, it's a myth. Many think you can't have satisfying sex because of "getting the same order all the time" but it's false. Married people can and do have a lot of good sex.

I think the majority of people would agree with that statement, so I dont think its a myth. I think, however, there are some couples who really enjoy each other, so they wouldnt agree. I would be one of the ones who wouldnt agree. When I am in a long term relationship the sex gets better and better.

Well is the "amount of sex" your criteria, or the satisfaction you get? I have lived in many countries, and had meaningless sex with lots of women, before I got married. But the best sex I ever have /had is with my wife! We do it whenever we can, and it always leaves me drained in a way I never had when I was single, so I guess the Love and commitment enter into it. Hey why get a hot dog, when I have Prime Rib waiting home every night.

I'm sorry so many people think it's true. My hubby and I have incredible sex on a regular basis. Together for 10 yrs married for 8 and it's great!!
I think that a lot of couples get so wrapped up in their jobs, kids, bills, etc. that they forget about themselves. It's really sad.
My hubby and I always talk about retirement, travel plans. We always make time for ourselves. We keep the romance hot, by constantly flirting and having sexy chit-chat. It's fun and it's important so you don't wake up one day and see a stranger where your spouse should be!!

I disagree you have to make time for each other, sex is a very important part of a relationship. If it is absent that is when affairs start. That is what i believe anyway
