Its all about time and distance and distraction
apply these three factors
-if u can distance yourself from the person and the situation
-whenever you think about the person STOP and dont allow it, replace the thought with a different good thought
-realize that it doesnt happen quickly, this does take time. But you can do it.
-Find various distractions. Any goals you want to achieve? something you want to learn how to do? Maybe even if you want to get in shape and work ou(which definatly makes anyone feel better). Whatever you do focus on yourself.
-distract yourself also by exploring other options.
Developping a crush on another person or at least flirting and dating other people definatly helps.

I know exactly how you feel I thought I was in love but I finally saw he was just a player and he just wanted a F**K buddy so I dumped him and never did anything with him but you will fine your much better of, you weren't meant to be with that person and in time you will realize and expect it!

Stay away from that person
Stay away from the same group of friends
Stay away from places he may visit
Find new acitivities, new friends, friends that won't add salt to your wounds
No love songs
Upbeat, happy songs
Always think and believe you deserve better and the next one coming will be better!

U can't just stop. After some time you may get over them but you never know how long it could take.

you know, i've been trying to answer that question myself for awhile....but then i remember that if they dont want me as number one in their life why should i want them as number one in mine? its not fair to my emotions and heart to keep lying and pretending that they'll suddenly want me or think i'm more important. its a waste of time, and when you find that guy that makes you so happy its unbelievable you'll laugh at how stuck you were on some other guy who missed his chance with you, at least thats the way i think of it....

It would hurt at first - but just stop thinking about that person. Keep yourself busy - both mentally and physically - do workouts, sweat that person out of your system and please dont listen to love songs !
