Is it because they're only playing Ben Wallace 25 min a game?

I say it's the coach, he should be replaced

First off the bulls have gotten off to slow starts in the past three seasons as well but have made the playoffs each time, (anyone remember the 0-9 start three seasons back). The difference between this season and say last season is that last season their defense was not up to par while the offense was able to score. This year both the defense and offense is just pathetic. I do believe with all of the young guys on this team the kobe talk really got into their heads and still has them shaken up a bit mentally. Also is it just me or does Ben Wallace look a little disinterested on the court early this year? I know the age is there but his effort level doesn't seem to be there and that is what his career is defined from. Also it could be a thing where the opposing team figured out how to play us (we are basically a drive and kick team), and that the bulls haven't made any adjustment thus far yet. This is where lack of a low post scorer hurts us so there are no easy buckets. I really do hope that paxon reenters talks with memphis concerning Gasol cuz Gasol is unhappy again in memphis (lack of wins), and we are struggling right now. Gasol would be easier to get than Kobe in terms of what we would have to give up for him and he also gives us a team need. But i am confident that paxon will make the right moves if necessary and that the bulls will be alright, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Chemistry changes from year to year. They miss a hard working character guy like PJ Brown. Guys can get complacent, and start believing the hype about how good they were going to be. Also, skills decline; Ben Wallace isn't the player he was two years ago. If that's not enough, they probably should have made a greater effort to get a low post scorer (KG or Gasol). Again, they believed the hype. I'm willing to buy any theory except the one about how the Bulls' players were driven to distraction with all the Kobe trade rumors. Yeah right, blame a player who's not even a part of the team for their problems.

Ben Wallace deserves to play no more than 25 minutes

yea he grabbead a ton of rebounds today, that was mainly because the game was essentially over by half time and he played against Denver's scrubs

Wallace is old and he has bad wheels...he has foot and ankle issues. He's not the same player he once was.

The problem is the coach? hahaha RIGHT

it has to do with the players

ever since ESPN started reporting that Kobe is headed to chicago, it rattled all those bulls players because they're not sure about their future and their tomorrow was uncertain

they couldn't take it the right way and avoid all the discussions and stay away from the distractions

the bulls players are weak minded...The pistons took advantage of them in last year's playoffs with their mind games and now they've been rocked beginning the season

Coaches don't play the game, players do

I agree with flipper, the other teams know that Chicago is a team that thrives in the perimeter. They weren't able to add a post scorer thus they would only guard hinrich, deng and gordon.
That is why they are struggling in the offensive end.

In the defensive end, there is a lack of interest by the whole team. Mentally, this young Bulls team is struggling.

If they would consistently play like how they played against the Clippers, then they would be an eastern conference champion contender

i have to agree with pj, wallace is definitely overrated and he has barely earned the right to start, their coach is fine, their players are just in a slump don't worry, they will get out of it soon and will become a playoff contender

bcuz they suck, and they paid a useless center so much money. Either he is showing his age, or he has no motivation anymore. And the whole team is young.

last year, their small ball brand of play worked fine...

this year, the other teams know how to neutralize their small ball, guys who thrive on the small ball offense like gordon, deng, hinrich are now struggling as a result.

Well I could mention the horrible 40% shooting that's plagued them in all of their losses.
