I have a couple of math problems that I believe are interrelated with physics, and I'm not really sure how to solve these problems.

A person drops a ball onto the dirt below. Use this position function to solve the problem: -16t^2 + (initial velocity)(time) + initial height

How high is the wall if the ball hits the dirt 3 seconds after the ball is dropped?

What's the velocity of the ball when it hits the ground?

FIRST OF ALL, YES, Y!A IS BACK!!!

I have been with my boyfriend/fiance for 8 months now and we are deeply in love. I am 23 years old and he is 28 years old. I live in my parents home still and for the past couple months I sleep at my boyfriends house on the weekends. The thing is my parents give me a HARD time every week. They are so against me sleeping at his house and they don't like that I am with him and I know it is because he is a different culture than I am. I cannot take the stress anymore. My boyfriend and I want to do things right and me move out happily but with my parents like this I cannot take it anymore. My boyfriend is totally supportive and tells me all the time that he is waiting for me to come live with him. What should I do? This is so stressful....

This is the specific question that I was asked that I can't answer:

Carbon is a nonmetal, silicon is a metalloid, and tin is a metal. They are all in the same family. Yet, they all possess different behaviors! Why? If you can properly answer this question, then you truly have a grip on this unit.

I find it really ridiculous that I'm that big and I'm only 13. I ahve scoliosis too (back problem). Is there anyway I can get them reduced and say it's my back problem? My mom and I went bra shopping yesterday and found one that fits, but when we got home I realized the straps weren't tight enough and I was sagging, but I couldn't adjust them anymore. The maker doesn't make DD for a 34. It's sooo hard to find ones that fit and I can't take it anymore. I'm getting SO frustrated.
Is there a way my doctor can tell our insurance that the back problem is from my big chest and use the breast reduction to help my back?

she has vomited like 5 times today!!
my mother said it could have been the deworming tablets she had this morning, maybe some cotton that she ripped her toy we bought for her,or somthing she might have ate! the 1st time she vomited was in her crate which was very chuncky....second was on my carpet....a lil watery....the other times were watery..... and the 2nd time i put her in her crate... she vomited! plz help!
she is a bichon frise and she is about a lil over 3 months

I had known my ex boyfreind was a certain type of man, the type that I never thought highly of, but as we hung out more and got to know each other better I ended up falling for a different side of him. We broke up after he cheated on me and even more I hate the type of man he is but yet I still love him. I still love the way we were toghether, the bond we had that I have never had with any other man and the way we would interact with each other and the other special things he did with and for me, and how he supported me when I needed it and was there for me when none of my so called friends were.
And I want to be his freind again but I dont want him to mistake my forgiveness and weakness and him get a swelled head that now he is the man for cheating on me but yet now I've forgiven him and that my wanting to be friends will eventually get him back "in" if you know what I mean
Im so confused. I do love him, though I hate the type of man he is, but I still want to have a friendship.
